I am still in awe... completely stunned by the scene where Hijiri and Akira meet face-to-face after 3 years. Beautifully written, delicately choreographed, and brilliantly acted by our leads, this scene captures why these two are in love, and why we love them in return. Akira again proves himself to be a thoughtful, deeply grounded young man who clearly understands what he wants. Hijiri again is first and foremost a sensei, guiding him with her questions through their interaction.
I saw this raw first, and was able to understand the gist of the action because of the play of emotions on the faces of our actors. With dialogue, it's golden.
