I'm just putting this out there: Kenshi Okada's visual, especially his side profile, it's so similar to this little…
Great catch! They do bear an uncanny resemblance and I agree they share a personal magnetism in acting. Kenshi Okada wins on caliber of voice though, hands down! Btw, Marlon Brando was universally considered to be the greatest movie actor of his generation.
It really frustrates me when people blame others for their mistakes. While I understand Aiko-san's decision to…
I completely agree with this. Aiko is at fault, both in her parenting choices regarding Akira and in her communication where she displays a very convenient dishonesty. A large part of the initial attraction of Akira for Hijiri has to do with her fundamental honesty in all, even with difficult subjects. She really has earned the label of sensei for Akira.
It was very clear, right from the beginning, that Akira was far outside of the norm, and Hijiri immediately recognized the challenges. Personally, I like to compare shepherding teens through those years to riding Class 5 rapids- strap in, hold on (keeping the heart foremost) with the goal that everyone survive!

She (Aiko) does not seem to know her son AT ALL!
