It's been four months, and I still haven't recovered from the absolute beauty that was Chugakusei Nikki

I am surprised by some of the strong, negative reactions to this series. First of all, it's a romcom (emphasis on the com!) so it is not 'realistic', but, to its credit, it is VERY FUNNY. Love the actors, the farcical situations, and I can't wait to see how they wrap it up! Fighting!

This show was originally subbed and released through Dramafever. Viki has taken it up, and they are releasing it 2 episodes a week, but they have to sub it (Just like a regular drama)

I agree, both were excellent dramas.

Yes, yes, it was a clever misdirection on the part of the writer, but it came dearly- for me it was at the expense of character development and plot logic throughout the drama.

It just wasn't the emotionally charged moment it could have been.......

I love how her extended community rallies to support Yuri.

Best guess! It looks like something scandalous happened with Yuri's dad, a minister of education, that majorly spilled over into Yuri's life. Yamashita's former father in law is the antagonist, so somehow Yamashita came to the rescue and fixed the problem (at a cost?)
