Actually the legal age of adulthood in Japan in 20... So Akira is still a minor everyone!!! T___T He cannot get…
Thank you for the info. Now the reactions make a lot more sense.
Though, there must be something with 18, or Akira wouldn't have made such a big deal about it with Hijiri in their first meetup after three years. (she's no longer dating Shotaro, she's not his homeroom teacher,.... and he's 18)
Or Akira's mom does go to police while Hijiri and Akira are on Yamae island. And she possibly projects him as…
I wonder about the mother as well. So far she has had no compunction about the means serving the ends- an example is separating the father and son, lying about the circumstances, etc. The way she chased down Shoutaro and Hijiris mom all reflect a person out of completely out of control. Well his mom is desperate. She feels as though it’s her fault Akira stopped talking to her, it’s irrational…
I started to rewatch the earlier episodes (btw, even better the 2nd time around!)- I completely blew past the scene where his mom ironically says all she wants is for him is to be married, to laugh and have a happy life. She is out of control...
