Is anyone else watching the version where the subs have a ridiculous amount of money listed for everything and…
My subs are keeping it in Taiwanese dollars, so her meal budget for tw 150 is actually 5 bucks a day...the Japanese apple does go for a ridiculous amt. of money in Taiwan, but $300 in us. dollars sounds much better than tw 10,000!

I hear you....I think the plot of SLA will always resonate more with women. Oh Hye won rules as a badass superachiever and still gets taken down (but not destroyed) by the smaller minds and hearts around her. Oh, and there's Yoo Ah in!

@major When you have recovered from One Spring Night, I recommend watching two of the directors previous works. Heard it Through the Grapevine (2015) and Secret Love Affair (2014) are also impeccably executed, riveting stories that are grounded in a thoughtful examination of cataclysmic changes in society.

I get a little bit frustrated with people complaining about the situation of the women in this drama being unbelievable…
I second this. It is better to be openminded, to observe and learn, rather than to impose your cultural beliefs on others.

Regardless of how it ends, this dorama does an exquisite job of capturing the confusion, the angst, but especially the crossed signals in the beginning steps of the pas de deux between sexes.
Yes, they're flawed (aren't we all?) but their intentions (and hearts) originate from a place of good.
Terada in particular resonates especially with me. Her nurturing accommodating nature is not a weakness, but is a sign of a well-adjusted human
