The story is cute, not too much fuss and unneccesary drama. One thing I don't like it is how they sort of forced to do the very awkward sex scene toward the end.
He' so-so in the acting department but one of the best in the looks department and he can really dance. I don't know if he majored in ballet or so but aside from modern dance, he's best with ballet/interpretative dance.
I was really enjoying this show, but now I'm reading that there's no romance whatsoever, so I might drop it. It's…
I dropped Love 020 bc the love story couldn't go any further even if you put a spin to it, I also dropped Go go Squid bc the female lead's acting meh (even though I love her in AOL), but I managed to finish The King's Avatar simply bc it was like watching a live action.
I keep trying to finish it but it's not easy, I find it more bland than go go squid or love o2o. Part of problem…
Try watching it from weTV app, their subtitles are better than Netflix. I watched the 1st ep from Netflix and I fell asleep bc the subs can be confusing to the point that its tiring to read.
For someone who dropped Love 020 and Go Go Squid, King's Avatar is surprisingly good! Maybe because it focuses more on team work, friendship, and growth rather than the romance genre, it felt like I was just watching an anime's live action. One of my favorite scenes are those banters between opposing teams, even opposing team players will get you interested Anyway, just saw that weTV now has the anime version so I will watch that.
I love medical dramas and the Japanese do it best for the sole reason that they stick to that genre. No unnecessary love angles, although I admit I got a bit frustrated on Yamapi and Aragaki Yui on why they can't be just together during the Code Blue run. My all time fave would be Doctor X (particularly the 1st 3 seasons), JIN, Batista: Team Medical Dragon, Code Blue, Resident 5-nin and Young Black Jack.
Is this drama really good or are people only raving about this because of Yang Yang? I'm never really into gaming dramas, I tried but I ended dropping Love 020 and Go Go Squid so I want to know, how good is the story? How far should I watched before it gets really interesting to get me invested?
Iffy to watch this at first because the summary sounds like this was written and translated by a 1st grader, but 4 episodes so far and I'm loving it! So fluffy! The female lead's 'lust' for male hormones is too funny.
A lot of us loves the 'bad boy' in dramaland, but Zhuang Shu is a proof that good guys can also get the girls. Love this drama! The villains and hospital politics aren't that bad for me to be frustrated, the medical aspect aren't that exciting and mind-blowing but still good, the main plot got a bit draggy and then the production suddenly decided to give it a halt. I still think that it ended abruptly, and as much as I love Hu Ge, it was weird that the drama with his scene with Zhuang Shu.
Only watched this in 2019 and I instantly became Hu Ge's fan. Just like what the OP said before me, if you have doubts with wuxia, just watch this and Ten Miles of Peach Blossom. The other's just fell short.
Anyway, just saw that weTV now has the anime version so I will watch that.
