Personally, the best treatment for a slump is to JUST STOP. Watching more will lead to more burnout and even if a drama is really good, you might not like it because you're still in a slump and everything else will look stupid to you, which is bad bc you might missed a really good drama because you're not in the mood. So take a breathe and just stop, drop everything for now and focus on non-Korean/Chinese drama related. A good book/manga might calm your nerves, and as for me, I usually watch clips of Michael McIntyre's stand-up comedies since watching too much Kdramas/Cdramas/Jdramas makes me feel like I've forgotten how to speak in English.

If this drama's plot is quite similar to Well Intended Love and About is Love, then can I assume that the ML will be a manipulative jerk who thinks that love is treating the woman like his lackey and will sort of force himself to her because that is his way of showing his love?

1 Liter of Tears literally had me crying 1 Liter of Tears. I cried EVERY episode and I cried more when I learned that it was a true story. Do add "Crying out in the center of the world" and "Taiyou no Uta" (I prefer the drama version).

TRUE! I avoid dramas when most comments are like, "he is so hot!" and so, plot has always been a huge factor for me. Don't get me wrong, I liked XZ since Oh My Emperor, he totally stole the show but I haven't gotten the drive to watch the Untamed.
