they are vertical-drama level ridiculous but in long drama format

how am i only on ep 11 out of 28?!?

loving it so far

this is actually so much better than i expected!

its realistic and mature; such a refreshing plot for the average office worker & cdrama lover

this plot gives me kdrama vibes
but the mix of modern and historical scenes is refreshing (on ep 10)

lack of romance wouldve been ok (altho its labelled a romance drama so i expected (more of) it)

but u barely see the leads together throughout this drama already… and by the last few episodes u bare see the main leads at all.

start was solid (would’ve rated it 8/10)
last few episodes killed it (6.5-7/10)

this drama had so much potential at first
but the ending was so disappointing lacks romance and spent so much time wrapping up the story you barely see the main leads; especially main leads together.

this started great but the middle is getting ridiculous

ep 20 - also where the heck did this consort for 4th prince come from? they inserted her out of no where
literally zero indication she existed before … lol what the heck is going on

came back to say they’re not blood siblings so its not as bad

the plot has many twists and keeps you on your toes
good drama to pass time

decent short drama id say a decent 7-7.5/10 for a short drama
its not heavy on romance (for main lead) but more about revenge and scheming

this is pretty good so far for a short drama

but the sibling troupe relationship so far is a bit ……. :/

i don’t get the hype of this drama

but he looked a lot more exhausted / tired / less enthusiastic this season compared to the previous seasons

he mentioned The Truth series is like a vacation / to have fun but I’m sure if he doesn’t join season 5 it’s likely because he wants a personal break to rest (because he has to travel with tight schedules for this show in between an already full schedule for drama / ad shoots and other work responsibilities) 🥲

this was so good
the chemistry and bittersweet romance 🥹. they made Chen Yi’s character much more likeable in the drama version than the novel

but we were ROBBED!!! they cut out so many scenes 😭😭😭
the teasers showed so much more that i was looking forward to but never saw in the drama 💔

omg overdo is giving me anxiety
he’s so cute in this drama in the flashbacks

but theres so much sadness and anger 😭😭😭

its giving the evil version of ‘the best thing’ 😭😭😭

the novel timeline is already confusing

but reading a few chapters a day while watching 2 episodes of the drama version everyday is confusing me even more

The drama >>>>> the novel. SWL & ZJY did such an amazing job protraying the characters. The chemistry is so 🔥🔥🔥

i honestly i love the drama version of his character a lot more. He’s way more likeable (including other factors though) in the drama version

i can’t stand the poor photoshop / ai of Wang Ruohai + the slow developing romance + Jun Cheng’s mom 😭

i haven’t seen Ollie since Asia Super Young… he grew so much i almost couldnt recognize him 😭😭😭 he was such a baby then omg. I was shocked when i saw him in a BL clip of this drama on twitter and had to watch this 😂
