Someone mentioned in the comments Ji Ho is a divorcee. Lee Joo Bin is listed in the supporting cast right at the top, but with no character name indicated, maybe she plays his ex-wife?
She was too oblivious I don’t think she did it. It must have been Do II’s idea and In Joo was in it together…
From what I see, In Joo is the kind of girl who would carry a huge backpack full of cash out in the open, not one who would think of swapping the money with bricks to trick others. So considering how inept, oblivious and gullible she has always been, it would be out of character for her to turn all smart and badass overnight. Some K-drama logic could make that happen of course but l think it would make more sense if it was Do Il’s idea to swap the money with whatever that was inside the suitcase as a precaution and In Joo agreed to it. But I guess that was the only thing they planned. Though Do II suspected Sang A was behind Hwa Young’s doppelgänger plot, I don’t think he knew for certain it was her or what she might be up to, which means that everything else that happened and what In Joo did from the moment she received the note to when she ran to the apartment and necked that orchid drink was all on impulse. That’s what I thought anyway but I could be wrong. So yeah, let's hope we'll get an explanation in the next episode.
Ep 8 just blow my mind away like we can't trust anybody. And how does In-Joo knew everything to the point she…
She was too oblivious I don’t think she did it. It must have been Do II’s idea and In Joo was in it together with him. There was more to their conversation in the car when he gave her the gun I think.
I think this drama is making us doubt Do Il's trust to then reveal that this whole time we could trust him and…
Cliché but trust has to be earned. Most of us were right for thinking Choi Do Il was suspicious and had his own agenda. Though it’s quite obvious he’s on In Joo’s side now, I don’t think he was from the beginning. Also, he seems to be developing feelings for In Joo and trying to protect her but he’s apparently still seeking revenge, and well, money. So she’s not yet his no. 1 priority and for him, her safety doesn’t come first, or it does but it also serves other motives. That’s why I don’t think he can be fully trusted yet. But I do think if In Joo has to trust someone, apart from her sisters of course, it has to be him.
And I agree Jong Ho is too nice to be be trusted lol.
Agreed. But what about using a silicone mask and makeup techniques? Or near perpect plastic surgery and then some…
Yeah, I’ve lost count of the whos, whats, whys and keep telling myself ‘Oops didn’t see that coming’ lol. But at least we had the answer to In Joo’s ‘doppelgänger’ after today’s episode.
It will be pretty far fetched if they show HW did complete plastic surgery to look like in Joo. I know that a…
Agreed. But what about using a silicone mask and makeup techniques? Or near perpect plastic surgery and then some makeup? Not sure if that’d be possible and practical but I’ve seen it in several dramas (Voice 4 for example) and now I’ve become sort of convinced it’s not impossible. Or is it? I don’t know anymore. This drama keeps making my head spin.
It is highly likely that Hyo Rin painted something she saw in the past, not from her premonition of the future.…
Yeah, Director Shin said his previous assistant was wearing the same red shoes when she was found dead so like you said, the body Hyo Rin saw could be hers, not Hwa Young's. But we'll have to wait and see.
As for your other points, I like the mystery around the orchid and those deaths associated with it but I hope they make it plausible, and not fantastical or unrealistic.
While I love the mystery that revolves around the orchid, I feel that the portrayal of the artist painting from…
It is highly likely that Hyo Rin painted something she saw in the past, not from her premonition of the future. She just happened to paint it right before Hwa Young’s death (as In Hye encouraged her to paint what she was scared of the most). The woman in the painting isn’t necessarily Hwa Young but could be someone else murdered by Hyo Rin’s mom or dad or both. Hyo Rin said she kept seeing the same image every now and then, which In Hye reckoned must have been due to the effect of the orchid, and asked her friend to try to walk through the steps that led to her seeing that, which turned out to be something ‘upstairs’ that we are yet to see.
I am trying to understand In Joo...What drives the way she behaves...I understand her other sisters (inhye and…
I think In Joo is just simple minded and takes things at face value, which is actually her charm from what I see. I don’t think she even knows exactly what she wants, yet. Unpopular opinion maybe but I really enjoy the way she talks to Do II, or anyone actually, as she seems to see things in black and white and speaks without filter, though that had me scratch my head several times. While many find her dumb and annoying, I find all that fascinating and funny and am curious to see how the current life would change her and how she would manage to survive while being surrounded by such dangerous people.
Are you crazy ?!! Never get attached to anyone in that kind of drama !! 😬
Well I liked her but not to the point of getting attached. I just thought she still had more to add to the plot so felt like her “story” was unfinished. But I’m sure her death serves as a turning point for the sisters, In Joo and In Kyung at least, to take action, whatever it means.
It must have been someone else who killed the Great Aunt right? It’s made to look like In Joo did under the orchid’s influence but my gut says otherwise. Anyway, though I saw it coming, now I’m sad that they killed off my favorite character this early.
I actually prefer this to Se Jeong’s last drama I absolutely loved this ❤️
I loved her most in Uncanny Counter. I dropped Business Proposal and now have this one on hold. I really enjoyed the first few eps though so will likely pick this up again soon.
