I don't get why this drama is so underrated... It's really good !! It's fun, the romance is really cute and the actors are awesome! It is one of those rare dramas where I like almost all the characters (ok except An Hee Sun but it just proves that she plays her part well!!).
*Spoiler* I just love the ending. Even the confusing/open end part. I read a few comments and noticed that alot…
What's interesting about this drama, is that everyone has his/her own opinion about the ending! I do think that Sun Woo waits 20 years and returns in the past to save his brother. I'll try to explain the way I see it :)
First of all, in 2012 Sun Woo doesn't know that his brother is missing and even less that Jeong Woo is going to die. Furthermore, Jeong Woo didn't died one year after leaving, in the first episode the policeman said that he probably died in january but it took almost one year for them to be able to identify him since they couldn't get his prints, his passeport was dissolved and there was no report about a missing person. The only hint they had was the photo of Sun Woo, that's why it took so long to find his identity.
About the incense sticks, it's true that Sun Woo actually doesn't know how his Future-self was able to come back 20 years in the past. But he does know that the incense sticks might be something important. When Future Sun Woo left the incense sticks in the hospital's fire, they were given to Young Sun Woo. He guessed it was important enough to put the sticks aside in order to let Future Sun Woo retrieve them. I guess that, when seeing the incense stick in his brother's belongings after his death, he'll just make the connection.
Finally, the last thing that makes be believe it, is what Sun Woo says to his brother in the last scene when he finds him : "It's been a long time Hyung"
When I first watched the last episode, I wandered if the end meant that Sun Woo was catch in a sort of loop. But, after re-watching the end of episode 20, that's how I understand it.
In fact, I think the answer is in his conversation with his best friend and the plane scene. Future Sun Woo has always avoided to tell his younger self anything about his future for him not to be biased in taking decisions in the future. But thanks to Min Young, Sun Woo knows now that following this path will lead him to death and will make Min Young miserable. Everything that could be done in 1992-1993 has been made by future Sun Woo, but some things just can't be changed, that's called fate (like the fact that Min Young still loves Sun Woo no matter what happens). So, when he says : "I would keep it simple right now... I will just love the girl that I love", it means that he will avoid using the incens sticks and live by Min Young side, fulfilling by this way the wish of Future Sun Woo to make her live a happy life.
But there's still one thing that he'll want to change. So, 20 years later, using the incens stick that was in his brother's belongings (the one that the policeman gave him in the first episode), he comes back to 2012 to save his brother.
That's a satisfying ending to me :)

Hi! Have you seen the episode 19 of Nine ? I didn't expect that it would turn that way... I can't wait to see the last episode, I wonder how they're going to end it ^^
It seems that the screenwriters like to play with our nerves!!
With only one episode remaining, I wonder if they can make a happy ending without it being completely far-fetched. But either a happy or sad ending, I just hope it won't be disappointing... but hopefully a happy, happy ending!!! :)

It's also my favorite so far! The cliffhanger at the end of episode 18 knocked me out and there's not even a preview for the next episode... I've got the feeling that the end won't disappoint and that we'll have to go through some more twists in the remaining episodes ^^

Hi! Thanks for your friend request!
I like your pic ;)
When I was 20 I was more interested in older men. Now that I'm 30 I still prefer men in their late 20s/early 30s. If it goes on like this, I'm on my way to become a Pedonoona when i turn 40 :)
Thanks for this great article, really funny !
Good article, very funny ! As you can see, you're definitely not the only one :)
I do 5 quite often too and people are like "let's pretend I didn't hear"! I've always loved asian food, so even if it's not related to my drama addiction, I also do 2 and 3 :p
Your completed list is impressive, you've watched so many dramas!!
I hope you enjoy White Christmas!
