Random musings: I was pondering on Eun Ji and Tae Hyun. Lately the undeserved redemption arc is everywhere so…
I agree with what you said. I wished some things were done a little differently (especially with Eunji), but I wasn't as put out as some others about the way things have been handled with Eunji and Taehyung.
I think it fits with Jaewon character. He clearly is someone who doesn't like confrontation. And there's the fact that they navigate in the same social cercle in university. It can make things really awkward for everyone when some people in a group don't talk to each other anymore. As someone who tries to please those around him, it's not so surprising that Jaewon would try to make things better with both Taehyung and Eunji.
But I felt it was more along the line of « let's get along » than « let's be friends ». Forgiving and forgetting are different things. Like you said, it's the kind of relashionship that probably won't last past university years.
Jaewon and Taehyung's friendship is really different from Jaewon and Yoonwon's one. With Yoonwon, Jaewon is more himself, he confides in her, they support each other and you can see the emotional connexion between the two. The relationship with Taehyung is much more shallow. It's the kind of « friend » he goes out and have fun with but who knows very little about him. I think Jaewon was abble to forgive him because just like he said, he already knows what kind of person Taehyung is. He accepts him for who he is, pettiness and all.
"The Eighth Sense is one of those projects that stand out because of how clear it is that it's a labor of love. It is a thrilling and passionate story of pain, drama, romance, yearning, and a deep and beautiful portrayal of serious and important themes like trauma, mental health and so much more."
I like the way you worded this. Very good review !
The ending credits in ep 6 without music or sound is powerful. It's like getting a glimpse into Jae-Won's mind and the emptiness he must feel in that moment.
While I agree with some criticisms about the last 2 (or 3) episodes, I don't get why people would call Junho feelings…
What you call asumptions, I call observation. We just have different points of view and I respect your opinion :)
Now I agree with what you said about some other dramas making things more obvious for viewers. It's probably a question of taste. I actually like it better when it's done in a more subtle and realistic way.
i feel like the same thing is happening here as with "everything everywhere all at once" on film twitter, where…
While I agree with some criticisms about the last 2 (or 3) episodes, I don't get why people would call Junho feelings for Young Woo shallow. Maybe because I never felt like he suddenly fell in love with her in that wedding dress scene...
I just think Junho is the kind of people who pays attention to others and sees things others would probably overlook. As early as the first episode, he noticed many sides of Young Woo.
He respects her as an attorney, admire her intelligence, he knows she's passionate and determined, brave and strong in many ways and she's also kind, sincere and pure. She often makes him smile and laugh. From the start, he's had a soft spot for her and I think she touches him in many ways. Does he need more reasons to fall in love ?
In my opinion, the wedding dress scene is not him falling in love with her but him seeing her as a woman for the first time. Which is different.
ok, based on your opinion, who do ya'll like better? Black or White? and why, i'm curious 😄
Difficult to choose for now because there's still much we don't know about Black... But I'd say while White is a lovable character, Black is an intriguing one. I like both !!
I think he figured it out when he was confronted with both Black’s at the same time eg the night before, his…
I think so too :) And also, when they all meet at Dan's hideout/painting studio, the first thing Black says to Sean is "Sean, you can even get up" referencing the way he left him after he beat him up. It's as if they hadn't met since and given Sean's reaction, it seems to be the last clue he needed to connect the dots.
The scene between Boo Jung and her dad was an emotional one. The love they share and the understanding they have of each of other is really beautiful.
On another note, it was interesting to see the difference between Kang Jae's and Jung Soo's hugs and the way Boo Jung reacts to it. It says a lot about the relationships.
to be honest now I want a whole another drama from the point of view of Jin Jung Soo , (Lee Boo Jung husband)...i…
I think the drama makes a good job showing every side of the story... When it comes to Jung Soo, we can see how he starts to question himself as he slowly realise how little he knows about his wife's life and hardships. Through his conversation with other characters, little reactions or even flashbacks, I think we have a pretty good understanding of his state of mind.
In one of the scenes, an exchange of conversation between "Cafe-LBJ" and "Cafe-Halelluia" goes on like thisCafe-LBJ:…
I may be wrong but I think they met before Akira's manager asked him to find informations about her (so before Boo Jung started sending messages to Ah Ran). It seems to me that they met while Boo Jung was in the hospital after her miscarriage and Jingwoo's son (Min Su) was also treated there. They also both have a connection through the site « cafe hallelujah » made for people with depression. Both having a hard time, they kind of formed a bond trough that. I think when he took the job, he has protected Boo Jung by not giving any useful information on her to Akira's manager (who has said to Kang Jae that Jingwoo has drowned out this for too long).

This conversation is starting to sound too much like an argument for my liking, so I'll leave the last word to you.
