“I texted NamJooHyuk one day," adding, "I feel sorry for my other four friends, but I told Joohyuk, 'I enjoy…
Every actor should have a role that people see and think that character can never be play by anybody else but them. YJ is that character for JK. He really made the character his own.
Where are people getting the idea that Hee Do and Yi Jin (present) still have regrets and feelings for each other?…
I wouldn’t say miserable per say, but I’ll definitely say that part of it was she made the decision w/out giving it a try w/ YJ. He wanted them to stay together after all & ask for her to understand him a little bit (his coverage of the NY event was too much for him and he got emotionally depressed). She didn’t understand him and chose to give up on the relationship even though both were still madly in love (that goodbye hugs were filled w/ so much emotion and tears). Hence, how can she move on w/ that kind of goodbyes( she says so herself that she didn’t mean what she said after cooling down per her dairy). So to me, her red car, her 2521 workshop, her old room filled w/ memories of YJ, and etc… we’re telling of how important he still is to her. Then finally, she got her dairy back w/ YJ response and she can now concluded that at least he understood her and she can move on w/ the life/decision she has chosen.
You know when HD at 18 said when she was stuck at 13. I think HD at 41 was stuck at 21. Hermemories with YJ was…
How can anybody move on fully with that kind of breakup especially at the hight of the love, one that they initiated in the moment of anger, and the other partner didn’t want to end but would rather they give a shot w/ the long distance.
I don't hate the ending. I just hope that they at least give us a glimpse of Hee-do's husband. I think it would…
It was better the daughter didn’t read the last dairy because she’ll know that the breakup wasn’t a complete closure that was a result of two people who stop loving each other.
NHD knows what life is like w/ people in the news station & know that she rather have someone who can be there for her. When she got sick at the hospital, it reaffirm more that she’ll be forever alone w/ BYJ. If YJ didn’t chose New York, HD would of at least compromise but he didn’t even include her in the conversation (she felt betrayed). If he didn’t chose, NY, he likely would not have proven his commitment and worth and would not be where he is today. We don’t get what we want w/out consequences. I do understand HD’d decision, BYJ was there in NY for 7years after all. However, I still believe that they can make it work because their love was at its peak during the break up.
Episode 16 text preview:heedo's heart cannot reach yijin who's in new york anymore. in the end, they keep saying…
Career & distant are the 2 Main reason relationship drift apart for young/fresh lovers. It’s a natural progression of growing up. It’s only when one grow up later in life that they realize they could have made it work if they truly chose to fight to be together. “Regrets.”
YJ not being dead confirmed by NJH himself is hilarious lol. Like we keep thinking he dies but he just tells everyone…
Those of us that really watched the drama, were like how did they come up with that "Death" theory anyway? I didn't believe it for a sec. The drama has been pretty clear giving us all of what it is. I just take it the Dad was never shown because this story isn't about him and it will take away the Love that the OTP once had.
I mean if yi jin isn't her dad she probably already knows
The fans theories exist because we want the narrative to fit what we want the ending to be. In actuality, the story is pretty straight forward with how it present itself.
I am sorry but what is the point on showing the romantic development between NH and YJ to not end up together,…
..the reason being that just because something ended doesn't mean it wasn't beautiful and did not shape who we are today or impact our decisions in life.
Feel like I am the only person not surprised about anything with Baekdo, who thinks the drama's writing has been…
I also understood this drama's purpose as well. From the beginning, we're told that she has moved on w/ her life and had a family of her own. As the story progresses, many clues continually popped and even older HD states so herself that things of the past were of distant memory only (some memories no longer vivid). The friends all have a different agenda of their own now.
The husband was never shown/introduced because it would diminished the focused of the story of the past and it's impactfulness of an innocence time as a youth with that one particular person (group of friends).
Did you guys heard that “appa” thing if you turn your volume up in ep 14 news scene, it can’t be a coincidence🤪I’m…
The daughter didn't remember BYJ's face so I assume it's HD's daughter hanging in the background w/ her husband calling her Appa instead. Hence, that made BYJ realized he never congratz her on her marriage yet. The signs are all too obvious for Fleeting romance only. Even the OST by Jaurim indicated that it was a brief love sweep up by the wind only. {FYI, I am sobbing inside as I write this. because BYJ married to HD w/ a little girls is the only consolation to this couple that went through so much together}
I'm lowkey very disappointed in Baek Yijin. The moment he chose his career over his love and friends, I kind of…
I figure people would give lead way for BYJ knowing full well the extent of his struggles and situation. You do realize that he got his job through a period where they allowed highschool student to work there & that period has now been closed. BYJ's boss also said how lucky he was. He has to be ontop of his game in order to move ahead due to lack to education experiences as he can't afford to lose that job. Before announcing the news, he went to see Yurim (the extent of their conversation weren't shown & from Yurim's reaction from watching the News she is well aware indicting that perhaps it's better that BYJ tell her story than others). HD's mother too struggles w/ the same faith.
Okay, I felt responsible for the things I said here and I decided to edit my comment to put some better context…
In the USA, Many famous new anchors/reporter are being called out now for the way they handle /questions celebrities back then & demand apologies. So I believe it was the standard then. Also Example, NHD’s dad pass away & the mother couldn’t even attend the funeral? News program always have backup and the TV station would understand.
As much as I loved this drama so far, I will say it again, if the ending is horrible, then I will rate it 3/10!
Don’t mess w/ the rating! This story is not your typical idol synopsis. If u want Cinderella like drama ending, there are plenty. This drama has been an impactful ride and we are introduced to such humanized characters that’s done w/ so much heart.
I'm with you. I think I'm just sad that they are not end game. I didn't like the theories going around about his…
Exactly, people are making up theories to fit the narrative of them being end game. Then they get disappointed when the story keep going towards its initial trajectory. It’s normal if the characters chose to part way… it can be a beautiful love story too.
I don't know if I am being delusional but ep 14 made me more convinced that they are gonna end up together. The…
The speculation of a name change is far fetched given that he is on national TV announcing his real name and covering HD fencing event. People by now know who he is.
The husband was never shown/introduced because it would diminished the focused of the story of the past and it's impactfulness of an innocence time as a youth with that one particular person (group of friends).
