"Flowers are meant to show affection for the one you love."
WZ didn't just give her a flower, he planted her a whole garden 🥹 Not only did he recreate her ideal home, but he also immortalised their love through these flowers that will bloom and wilt in a repeating cycle forever.
I am quite reluctant to watch this drama because I am not Allen Ren's fan, as I have always been let down by his…
I think you should give it a try! I personally found his acting and micro-expressions to be really good here. Plus if you previously had issues with his dubbing, he is dubbed here and the voice acting is quite enjoyable.
His whole life, WZ never lived for himself. In that sense, I really, really hoped he would get to stay alive and live happily - he is probably one of the most selfless characters I've come across in a drama, and also the character who sacrifices the most in this series. Following his journey just felt so heartbreaking, and as swift as JC's realisation during the sword dance scene, it became absolutely impossible as a viewer not to root for him. Although I can understand the SE is "realistic", that doesn't rule out the possibility of having a realistic HE either... With that being said, the drama itself is amazing, it was such a thrilling ride from start to end. As much as I regret the ending, I can't say I regret watching this drama.
PY's motivations so far have been largely personal, like protecting the Pei Clan, appeasing his mother, "getting" JC. Now that he's no longer tethered by Madame Rongguo, and acknowledged his fault in entrapping JC and killing her master, I wonder if (and how?) his character motives will change. He'll still be protecting JC according to the teaser, and if he ends up helping WZ in the slave arena, it's possible he'll also help in the upcoming battle, according to the implications of the synopsis.
I want to point out something regarding Madam Rongguo's 'coup' in Episode 33. She actually had it planned properly…
I agree. The emperor is a very unreadable character. Even when Madame Rongguo was throwing these accusations, he was so calm, it feels as if it's too good to be true. The plan was such a loss bc absolutely nothing got revealed about Prince Qi, putting WZ back at square one again, and the master really died for nothing.
It also seems like they foreshadowed that Lu Yu will be coming back (and possibly plays an important part of the story) since they didn't find his body after the boat capsized.
cant believe im back in a drama slump after the double got me out of it.... i need recs with similar push and…
Love of Nirvana - it's a different vibe bc it's enemies-to-lovers but the slowburn is there and leads have loads of chemistry (hint: there's a scene where she applies medicine for him lol)
