For those that are upset by the ending, does that include having watched the special episode (30.5 or 31)? Just wondering if the special redeems the story and it is a better ending, or if the special still ended in a negative way. I really wanted to watch this, but if the ending is really that bad, perhaps I'll skip this one. Fingers crossed the bonus episode fixes whatever mistake they made with the ending, and that it is subbed soon.🤞

I used to feel the same way about these mini dramas. I have since come to appreciate them as I sometimes want to watch or rewatch something longer than a movie, but shorter than a full length series. While some of these short dramas are poorly done, there are some fantastic ones out there. I like that there is no unnecessary drama and/or filler in most of them either! I discovered Wang Lu Qing through the series The Queen of Attack (another good mini series) and have enjoyed other things she has been in, I thought she looked particularly pretty in The West Wind Is Strong.

I see your comments in many of the dramas I watch and know that you have subbed several dramas that I have watched. As someone who only speaks English, I am so appreciative of you and the many others who take the time to sub these dramas. I don't have a Facebook account, so I was wondering if there is another way to access all your work? Except to see if there is a happy ending!😊 I saw a question posted about what a last ........ said, but didn't think too much about it. I am only a few episodes in and I am guessing it was stars?! Stars seem kinda important, so, remembering I saw the question earlier, I just came now to see if I could somehow mark your response. I have copied and pasted it to read later. Fortunately I use reading glasses (so of course I took them off, lol) and the font is small so I managed to get it without reading it. Thank you very much for sharing this. It's greatly appreciated!

It was definitely hard to watch. As tv/movie dramas are not real, I can give a fair amount of leeway to a character's actions, especially if he/she is trying to redeem themselves. Unfortunately, even in a made up drama I don't know how you move forward from that. I can't rate this either cuz while I hated parts of the story, the acting was decent and the leads had chemistry. It had such potential, but his actions were just far too cruel. Life is too short and there are so many other great (mini) dramas out there!

Yeah, I wonder about that too. Ending it there and then continuing as a second season could have maybe worked as a way around censoring longer dramas. I have seen a few dramas where they broke up a longer one and made it into 2 parts with the "second season" being considerably shorter, like they did with Immortal Samsara. And you are right, cuz you now wonder if the drama was carried further along (cuz it sorta seemed from watching that video that there was another arc in their story), or if that was the planned ending and all the edits were made from material prior to the ending scene. I agree that the recap did a great job catching their best moments. My only complaint was I wanted more! lol. Glad that first clip helped your heart. It was such a relief to come across that and to learn that their story hadn't ended that way. I had accepted it, and it was happyish, but they deserved so much more, and should have been together at the end. I might try and see if I can find an English translation of the novel cuz that video has me intrigued. I would have enjoyed her having to coax his memory and whatnot. Wonder if a special could still come if they shot material past where the drama ended, but as more time ticks by it is unlikely. Fortunately I have a vivid imagination, lol

Not sure if you have seen these or not, Traffic is still so heavy here that things get buried quickly! I shared them on different posts over a month ago and I have no idea if others posted these clips either. But in case you haven't and were interested, the first is a link to the conclusion of the novel. It's a quick video that tells how the novel ended. It helped ease the pain knowing there was a different ending, but at the same time it also annoyed me that they chose a new ending for the drama. The second link is a video that condenses the drama into a half hour. It is a great recap and really well done. I hate to admit this, but I have watched this recap more than once! 😊

Agreed. Hope you enjoy the next chapter (LIS). I sure did and it greatly helped heal my broken heart. TTEOTM was a happy open ending, but they deserved so much more. And the greatest slap of all, was that the novel didn't end that way. 18 episodes edited out so we didn't get to see a lot, including a TRUE happy ending. Considering the novel ended differently, and the amount cut out, maybe one day we will get more. But if not, it's ok cuz LIS is my happy ending for them! And I can't remember all the coincidental connections, but the god of war is mentioned in LIS. Not spoiling anything, just someone mentioned god of war and as I had literally just finished TTEOTM before this, I immediately thought about TTEOTM. It's funny cuz there was one or 2 other things too that made it easy to see LIS as a continuation. If LIS hadn't been made a few years prior, I would have taken the mention as a nod to TTEOTM!
