Thank you so much for sharing this. What a great Father's Day gift! Little extra tidbits like this is why we can't leave this page and move on! ❤
RunYu saved AoL for me... I finished that drama just to see him get revenge on anyone and anything that had ever…
That is exactly how I felt when I first saw him in Ashes of Love. But even though he was pissing me off, I thought his scene with Yang Zi when Jinmi finally overhears the truth was incredible. I remember watching it and being so impressed with his acting, even though I hated his character by that point. I hadn't really bothered watching anything else with him, but after seeing TTEOTM I wanted more. I was soooo glad that I hadn't watched his stuff cuz I was then able to watch Love is Sweet. I took it as a new reincarnation of them. It helped ease the pain of ending this drama,
This is not an enemies to lovers drama. This is an abusive toxic Stockholm drama disguised as one. The ML isn't…
Absolutely agree! I wrote my comment (a couple above) before reading other's thoughts on the drama, I had already found XHY far too aggressive from the very start. It was hard to watch him force feeding her, and at that point I wondered if I could ever root for him. I started softening a bit when he treated GM better, but the murder of her (their) child killed all hope. I couldn't get over that and I had hoped it was not going to be real, that it was going to turn out the concoction was harmless or just didn't work. The chemistry was great and the leads' acting was the only reason to continue watching such a toxic mess!
I wanted to like this so badly. As a guilty pleasure I enjoy a good hate to love revenge plot, but the main lead was pretty despicable. Xiao Hong Ye was an incredible asshole at the beginning. I found him far too aggressive and wondered how it would be possible to like him. After XHY softened towards Gu Meng, I thought this might work out after all. But then came the forced abortion. At that point I felt this can only end in tragedy, unless the abortion didn't take. From that moment on I kept hoping that it had only been chicken soup or something else and that XHY had just wanted to scare her. Nope, he actually killed his own child. I felt conflicting emotions regarding XHY after that, as I can't forgive those actions. I did find it humorous that they gave the clues that she was pregnant before showing the main love scene. So GM was already pregnant during the love scene, causing viewers to wonder if we had misinterpreted the pregnancy clues. Usually the first time the MC get intimate it is shown. Not here, this time they hinted at having sex prior to that scene, but it wasn't definitely clear. Having said all that, the acting was good and the leads have great chemistry. I would love to watch these 2 in another drama together. I don't know how to rate this as I am completely conflicted. Without the murder of the child, and the tragic ending, I would have really liked this. But, those did occur so....... ZHY wasn't completely redeemed, but I appreciated his actions when GM exacted her revenge. Not sure what to make of that final scene either as she had been shot in the head. When it first happened I had the tiniest flicker of hope that ZHY & GU had planned a set up to catch Zhou Zi Chen, and that she only pretended a head wound. She never moved again so I gave that thought up, but then 2 years later they meet again on the battlefield? Huh? Maybe set up for a sequel? Anyhow, this one stirred up a ton of emotions and even though BE are not something I am fond of, this was a well made mini series and it did entertain!
There was also an incident where a Chinese comedian (House is his stage name), made a joke about the Chinese military…
Here is a link to that info. He time stamps his work so you can go directly to it, or you might enjoy his whole show. He can be a great source of info. Remember to like his video if you do check it out. He works hard and deserves the credit.
I'm not resuming this until after I finish the term. I have finals to do and although I know of the sad ending,…
As someone who only wants to watch the happily ever after endings, I completely understand your decision! While we were disappointed in how they chose to end the drama, it is not a completely sad ending. It is actually a happyish open ending. And they did condense this down by about 18 episodes, so there was hope that we might have been given another ending with additional episodes. So far that has not happened. However, the novel ends differently than the drama, so if you take the novel ending, it is a happy one with much more to their story still. I shared this link over a week ago, but as there are still so many of us refusing to say goodbye, it has gotten buried. Lol. Watch this after you finish the drama. It does soften the blow of the drama's ending, but it also causes a little more disappointment as we are left wondering why this wasn't the ending for the drama too. They deserved more, so much more! Perhaps this was covered in the episodes they edited out? Fingers crossed we will see more of the stuff they filmed for it one day! In the meantime, hope this helps. Good luck with your studies!

While we may not have entertainment censorship in such a blatant form here in Canada, we definitely have censorship. We have been under the illusion that we were free for so long, but it is becoming painfully obvious that we too are greatly censored in the west as well. At least some countries know they are censored. It has been incredibly naïve and dangerous for us to believe that we weren't also being censored! Trudeau is a strong supporter of China and he is doing his very best to change this once great nation into another communist country. Many sites won't even allow comments, and when they do allow you to share, they only allow you to share certain things. So while we aren't quite arresting people for making a military joke, we do have laws censoring our speech, such as possibly going to jail for misgendering people.

Sadly, this is becoming more and more common. We are living in unprecedented times and are seeing the world wide crack down on our thoughts and freedoms. China may be more obvious in their censorship, but every country is guilty of this.
I am seeing dramas been releasing/ airing but why they hold back BaiLu’s new drama?
There was also an incident where a Chinese comedian (House is his stage name), made a joke about the Chinese military a few days ago, and he has now been arrested. Apparently this has shaken the entire Chinese entertainment industry. It is believed they are cracking down and are wanting to reevaluate recently approved dramas. That's just one of the reasons floating around about why a bunch of dramas have cancelled their premiere dates in the last few days.
If you are suffering from withdrawal, and let's face it that's why most of us are still here, lol, I just found a fantastic video on YouTube. I don't know how this person managed this, but they took a 40 episode show and successfully condensed it into a 30 minute video. My only complaint is that it wasn't longer lol. I could have continued watching this for hours! The editing is seamless, and it captures the essence of their story beautifully. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did. Please remember to like the video, they definitely deserve the recognition for a job well done!
Hey Carolynn, I think this is also a good video to share the novel ending. I am going to share this into the "Interpreting…
I accepted the drama's ending as a happyish/open ending, but due to all the angst and grief that was presented, I really would have preferred a more "defined" happily ever after. I really only watch happy endings cuz there is just too much grief in real life. I appreciate that I miss out on some fantastic dramas, but I just don't want the sadness! Having said that, I had seen some comments indicating that this was an open ending, leaning on the happy side, so I gave it a shot. I discovered that YouTube video by accident, and I am so very glad I did, as I got my happily ever after ending! I am so glad that I hadn't watched Love Is Sweet yet because I had decided I was going to watch that next and have it ease the disappointment of the open ending. I was going to treat it as a continuation of their future lives together, but I no longer need to do this! The God Of War is mentioned with in the first couple of episodes, so had I not found out about the real ending, I think my plan may have worked! Lol.

Knowing that this was the intended way for the novel to end, it has soothed away all the pain. After all their struggles and the heart wrenching agony they endured, this is the ending that they deserved! I would love to see more, but now knowing their true ending, I am more than content!
If someone already shared this, I apologize. I just came across this and had to share it, as my understanding from some comments was that the drama ended on a better note than the novel did. As I thought the ending was fitting the fate they were given, I accepted it, although begrudgingly, lol. Apparently the novel actually had a much better ending, and I can see why this has led to speculation to if we'll get an extra/special episode or a season 2 still. Fingers crossed, but time is ticking away.... Anyhow, this is the ending of the novel, and for those of you suffering with a broken heart, I think this just might be the salve you require. I remember reading that the number of episodes were cut down. Wonder if this ending was covered at all. Too bad as I would have enjoyed watching this play out.
Does anyone know what kind of phone they are using? Its like transparent
I don't know specifically what brand they were using, but the technology for a transparent phone is available, and has been for a little while. I am in Canada and I always find it interesting how far ahead China and Korea are of us. If you watch Jdramas, Kdramas, Cdramas etc, you will notice they have the flip phones that fold out into a larger screen. You don't see that here. I had a friend a few months back tell me about this cool phone he saw. I then showed him the phones they use in the foreign dramas I watch. It was the same technology. I guess the next step is transparency. Again this tech is not widely known, if even available at all here yet. This is a YouTube address if anyone would like to check out this transparent technology:

Thank you for sharing this. It is a reminder that TTEOTM wasn't all gloom and sadness. It was a tragic love story, but the passion was sizzling and the love was eternal.
Can somebody tell me what the good mini series like this?
The Killer is Also Romantic (historical) and Night of Love With You (modern) are both really good mini dramas as well. The Queen of Attack and Please Don't Spoil Me are well done series too involving a modern female transferred into....... There are a bunch more but these ones I really enjoyed.
Haters even took the time to write to Mango TV customer service? Leave the envy!!! I don't understand, why are…
Imagine having a life that is so pathetic and so devoid of anything that is meaningful, that the only thing you can find to entertain yourself is spreading hatred and lies. They have nothing better going on in their lives than spewing hate. If only they could spend the same amount of energy on trying to improve their own lives. It is sad that many people don't take the time to investigate the claims themselves either. and use the uneducated excuse that if YB comes back, others must too.
Having said all that, the acting was good and the leads have great chemistry. I would love to watch these 2 in another drama together. I don't know how to rate this as I am completely conflicted.
