I suppose all the rumours are due to the fact that The Spirealm was finally (at long last, yay) OFFICIALLY released…
Oh yes, right, now I remember...

oh hey, I'm going for it, even if it breaks my heart. Need something to distract from spirealm, wish me luck :D
Lol, I used The Spirealm to distract myself from Justice in the Dark, which left me soooo frustrated. Total success, now I am even more heartbroken and frustrated than before.

Warning ...cruel rumours are starting again to get our hopes up SIGH
I suppose all the rumours are due to the fact that The Spirealm was finally (at long last, yay) OFFICIALLY released yesterday. It kind of DOES get my hopes high, though, because after all, if The Spirealm can be broadcasted, what prevents Justice in the Dark from seeing the light of day? ;-)

On Young Blood Season 2 Mar 9, 2024
I seriously cannot understand why this season has been rated so poorly in comparison with the first one. YB1 was funny and goofy, a treat to watch, but had the story ended there I don’t think I would have remembered the drama for a long time afterwards. YB2 is a completely different matter. There are still some really funny scenes, but the overall vibe is much darker, much more serious. The dynamic might be a bit slower for the most part of the drama (except for the last, like, 10 episodes where things escalate really quickly, though without being uncomfortably rushed), but there are no pointless scenes, no dragging, everything is just as it should be. Totally loved the second season and highly recommend it to anyone still in doubt.

I think it would have been the absolute best show for me, had I had the chance to watch the rest of the episodes. I am soooo in love with the characters, with the story, with the whole vibe of this world... I crave episodes 9-30 so badly.

Person Cheng Yi
Today in my local MLC Fan Community I have come across a melon saying that Cheng Yi and Bai Lu are going to star in the new drama version of "The Dream of the Red Mansion / Chamber." I am very agitated, although it might be a hoax. I wonder is there is any way to confirm or to disprove it?..

Thank you so much for such a solid introduction into this fictional universe. I am about to start watching one of the instalments and thanks to your article I can easily go in the order I prefer myself without feeling confused and sorry for not going in the chronological order. 谢谢🙏

Binged watched this for the 2nd time, and I must say that it is even better the 2nd time. I noticed so many more…
Correct me if I am mistaken (for I haven't read the book, just watched MLC - and so far only once), but I think LLH started using FDB's household name "Xiaobao" as soon as DFS told him that FDB wasn't SGD's nephew, but his son. It ` kind of` made FDB LLH's nephew, because LLH had always viewed SGD as his elder brother. And, btw, right after that LLH finally stopped trying to get rid of FDB.

I guess my expectations were way too high, so I was left sort of disappointed. I guess you might love this movie if you have read the light novel / watched the anime first, so you already know the world, the characters, and the story well. Otherwise, it's hard to figure out what exactly is happening, and the whole narrative looks more like an outline of something bigger.

Yes it was a bit rushed. The villains end was bot exciting. For the spring I think that since he got the pearl…
Yes, that reminds me how frustrated I was with KML’s decisions concerning his brother and Haitang 😆

Thanks for your feedback! I understand that some products are not supposed to be analytically scrutinised. Yet I prefer to emotionally invest in a story I find clear and logical with a well-built fictional world. For me navigating in the new universe is part of the fun, but I guess it’s all very individual.

Just finished the drama. Loved it in general, but there are some issues that left me sort of disappointed. To begin with, I disliked how the ‘bad guys’ were dealt with. We see how KML kills Su He — and then we just learn that the others starting with the Scorpion guy were executed. Mmm, ok, thanks for informing me, but personally I would have preferred a more colourful scene of KML’s revenge. Secondly, it’s not quite clear whether the people in the palace remember anything about being drugged and controlled by the Scorpion guy. Judging from Hongxiu’s comments, no, they don’t. And it’s ok if they have forgotten everything including KML’s beastly appearance, but what about the ordinary people who saw the monstrous version of KML paraded through the city? How is everything going to be explained to those who have not forgotten? How was Ma Inxiong’s death explained to everyone? The people of the Beast Clan must be terribly confused and so am I. Thirdly, while KML was hiding with the poisoned Qi Pa, the holy spring in the secret room nearly went dry within a couple of days — and the lives of everyone in the Beast Clan were in danger. And in the end of the story we find out they KML left the Clan — and the spring — for an unknown period of time to spend his 蜜月 (or rather 蜜年!) in Daxia and then in Europe. Ok, lovely, and who is going to charge the well with the energy during his absence, mm? Or can it be automatically recharged with the pearl? But all the way I thought the pearl was to heal KML himself, not replenish the spring. Maybe the whole theory has been thoroughly explained and I just missed the explanation… Finally, I might be horribly mistaken but the second half of the last episode seems to have a very different vibe in terms of the chemistry between the main leads. Particularly, it felt like KML’s attitude towards Qi Pa has somehow changed, as if he all of a sudden became a bit estranged, sort of indifferent (if compared to the sweet tenderness he had been showing for the whole series). I even had a weird thought that after getting the pearl and saving his kingdom he sort of lost his initial interest in Qi Pa or the motivation to woo her. Once again, it’s my personal perception, and other viewers might have a completely different impression. Anyway, that’s what I dislike about the final chapter. The rest was super cool and I will miss the drama and the characters.
