Excellent, and thorough review. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and research.
Pachinko was such an enlightening and well-made production. Can't wait for the next installment!
Agree that Lee Min Ho performed his personal best in this drama. Like you, I was never a fan due to his reliance on his looks instead of honing his craft.
Youn Yuh Jung was brilliant, as always <3
The little boy who acted as the young Noah was such joy to watch. Hope he continues to shine in future.
Agree with your review. I loved loved the first half of this drama, and it was enroute to 9 for me. But the second half was too long and draggy. Plus the ending was quite lame.
Still a solid watch. Amazing acting and production!
On the same page as you. The romance felt realistic; the depth in their conversation were refreshing in a period drama. So much love in their gazes for each other <3
Loved the sets especially their house and tea house. Different from most period shows.
Didn't enjoy the slapstick bits at all. One of the reasons I didn't rate the show higher ๐
Another brilliant review! You helped me understand some of the confusing parts in the main couple's actions. I couldn't get why SS kept putting up walls when she clearly loved BY.
This was the third drama I watched Wu Lei. The first being NIF made it hard for me to accept him as an adult in TLB haha. Plus the pairing with Dilraba didn't really work for me. In LLTG though, I finally sat up and noticed that Lu Wei has grown up. His acting has improved vastly here.
The chemistry between the leads are much more convincing; they were so mesmerising when together. In fact I reckon their chemistry is more potent than the one between ZLS and Yang Yang in WRTW.
I love Seo Hyun Jin! Very talented, definitely one of my favourites since I watched Another Miss Oh early in my kdrama journey. Brilliant show made more exceptional by our Hyun Jin. I tracked down her other shows after that, and I was in awe of her skills <3
~~Naksuโs soul sifting The problem with body sifting, especially when it's live action, is to make clear to…
Based on how only one soul can inhabit a body (as shown by the switch between Queen and Shaman Choi), it wasn't explained where the soul of the original Mudeok went to. I was waiting for the reveal but it remains a plot hole. Haha
Love, love, love this article. PHY is one of my favourite writers; I have her in My Favourite Writers list. Another Miss Oh is a gem...the brilliant story, top notch directing and the super talented cast.
I fell in love with Seo Hyun Jin in this drama too. Haha.
Thank you for the article. Feels awesome to not be alone in my love for great writers xx
Read your brilliant review after finishing the show. Really appreciate the extra nuggets of info! I've watched and love all the shows by Daylight Entertainment, except for The Bond (just added into my Plan To Watch list).
I was a bit surprised that the production wasn't a slick sci-fi when I started the show haha. But I was eventually sucked in by the well-crafted story and the excellent, nuanced acting by the cast. The romance was icing on the cake for me ๐
Thank you for your review. I was shopping for another drama written by Qin Wen. I'm in the middle of her "The First Half of My Life" which is so brilliant. Will check out "The Rebel" soon :)

Yup.... waiting for answers in S2 ๐
I just recalled that I watched this when I was little, and enjoyed it :)
