Exactly my gripe about the ending. Chu Yue was not so connected to the team for her to imagine meeting Ning Shishan. She didn’t really know about how RYY trying to make babies with NYZ nor was she super close with the team. If they must have her do the dreaming/ hallucination / whatever, wouldn’t it be with Shisan himself?? Yang Ying is a better choice. She was with them every step of the way.
But… this is definitely the best drama I’ve watched. Loved it.

I agee with you. I see too many mediocre dramas with high ratings on MDL and it doesn’t make sense. My take on it is that people don’t even bother giving their honest opinions because they’ll be labeled as haters.

I agree with you. It just seems far fetched for her to be approaching death without a tiny scene of her maybe in bed with illness or in another battlefield before the scene with the child.

Yes it would’ve made a lot more sense and more impact if it was YY remembering them. Now some are saying CY is dying and Ning Shi San is leading her to them?? It’s just became a whole different genre haha

I don’t think there’s anything as good as AJTY but the Long Ballad was a fun watch. I loved Liu Yu Ning and Zhao Lusi in there. Their love story was too sweet. So happy they are currently filming The Legend of Jewely together!

If that’s the case then I think the dream or whatever it is was poorly executed. It should’ve been Ying and not CY in that scene. Ying was with them the whole journey. I’m not saying CY wasn’t emotionally invested but I didn’t think they were that close?
