I watched and dropped a few of his shows and was not a fan so I was disappointed he was cast for this show. Now he’s like the hottest man alive.

When I said cdramas were cringy I meant modern cdramas. I think generally speaking costume dramas are made better and modern is neglected.

It’s a beautiful, simple love story. A lot of ppl say the rating is high because of ZLS but ZLS also have dramas that were not rated high.

Yep. It’s funny because when she does get high ratings it’s because of fanatics but when it’s low ratings it’s deserved lol.

Yes exactly. I love ZLS but dropped both GenZ and Hutong. Sometimes the stars align and chemistry, story, cinematography, costume, music, director all work beautifully together. This is what happened here.

I don’t think any other actress would be able to play SZ without the cringe but that’s just the opinion of viewers that rated this drama high of course.

The crazy outlandish hairstyles and wardrobe gets me every time. Also, even though Zhao Lusi is thin, I didn’t feel like Chen would break her in half when they hugged so that’s a DEFINITE plus.

I didn’t even cry when my husband proposed to me. Just snatched the right haha

That was still a very sweet thing for him to do!
