You said everything I wanted to say but was too lazy to type. Their “slow burn” was not done right and I think it’s mainly due to their lack of chemistry. The FL is always crying but when she cries, I don’t feel any emotions from her. I think her acting is bad even beyond emotional scenes. Seriously, where did she come from?

I’m so upset because I’ve been waiting for a good PHS drama. :(

Tedious is the perfect word for their girl power-ness.

The drama fell flat for me. I love and prefer a good romance but I’m okay without it IF the drama can hold my attention. This drama did not do that. There are so many more questions than answers with only a few clues thrown at you here and there. Too much screen time on the evil court minister and every episode left me feeling bleh. I’m at the point where I don’t even care for the characters anymore. All FL does is cry, second lead is weak and although I love love love PHS he became boring to me.

Yep! She just sent letters to random people that she knew of and he is the only one to write back I believe. It’s kinda cute!

Even the general that’s forced to study is a riot! Lol.

He is the 2nd prince of Jinpo and he was tricked by the FL once. I think he developed feelings for her ever since :). The ML crown prince spoke about him in a previous episode but he only first appeared in person on ep 12.

SO manipulative! The whole lying to her family about the boyfriend and fake career was out on control too. Then she had the audacity to be mad at her boss for lying to her bff lol.

I honestly find it hard to believe that the super serious, no nonsense ML would tolerate someone so crazy and ridiculous around him. Her voice here is even worst here than Orchid’s in Love Between Fairy and Devil.

You know what? I think they might use this scene as a flashback!

Wait wait wait. I just watched the full drunken make out session on YouTube. Did they not want us to see that because that’s not how it went in the show. This is so important with their development!

I agree with you. Even if they are not a couple, as a friend - can’t he shoot her a quick email, call, text or even a snail mail saying hey I’ll be away for a year for work?

You’re much better than me. I skip all the second CP’s story. It’s so boring and really doesn’t make any sense. I think.. for me that is, if they chose better actors for the second CP’s story I MIGHT watch it. For me, the people that plays the bff, boss and brother are more suitable to be extras in a film. Not main or supporting role material.

Haha I agree! They could’ve easily made this into a 16 episode drama, save money on production and save me time for not having to forward the second love story. They are SO boring and not fun to look at.

I really don’t mind the slow burn and prefer it if it’s done right! Zhuang Yu definitely did it right! I do have a problem with the second lead couple though. I find them incredibly boring, their whole story doesn’t make sense and is unnecessary. I skip all their scenes.

Same same same! I found her voice so annoying in LBFAD but got use to it. Now I feel a sense of comfort when I hear her speak in this little rom com. I fwd all of the second love story as well. It’s boring and the visuals is just blah.
