Both have yet to learn about compromise. Used to acting independently, it will take a while to find that point in their relationship. LBY is authoritative and as a general, gives out orders all the time. While he is tender with our FL, he has yet to disassociate with that instinct when dealing with her. She can’t read your mind LBY, she is second guessing at this point. Also you told her “do whatever you want” and I will protect you.

This does not free our FL from criticism and I have to say she acts immature because of her age. All her life she only knows scheming = survival. She recognizes her low status that’s why she has to resort to underhanded tricks with a very noble intention of helping herself and people she is fond of. This does not excuse her from any wrongdoing but rather her family and LBY should realize by now she doesn’t trust easily. Who can blame her? Show her genuine affection, trust and treat her fairly- she would surely blossom and open up, moreso, start TRUSTING people and not act impulsively.

That was an interesting turn of events for ep 31 to 32. It focused more on politics , state affairs and the turmoil within the royal family. It felt that it was setting the stage for future events and why it will turn out that way.

I really feel for the empress and the crown prince. It’s obvious that they don’t really care for power and would rather be ordinary people. The empress was referenced to be softhearted and I think that extends to her son. While they didn’t have a say or desire to be in their current positions, people know this but what surprises me is that they still seem to expect them to act otherwise. It’s not easy to go against your nature as again they do not have the desire to have power in their hands. They perform their duties to the best of their ability and out of courtesy to the emperor.

CSS is clearly devoted to her majesty and largely bec this is the first time, second time rather (third aunt was the first!) to act as a mother figure to her. Someone who is patiently teaching her without expecting anything in return , no prejudice and shows her genuine affection. She cried when she had to leave her third aunt in Hua County bec obv she is craving for an adult female mother figure to care for her. LBY should understand that about her first and why she is very protective of the empress.

LBY is not wrong in giving her caution as he sees her naivety as a weakness that can lead to her getting hurt. However, what he failed to consider is that she is very stubborn. The only way to get thru to her is to explain the consequences and the delicate matters in the palace, not give her a warning without explanation, then expect her to blindly follow. In this regard, he is showing me that he also expects her somehow to be the dutiful, submissive wife and listen to what she is told.

LBY remember why you fell for her, what her reputation is and what you realized when she desperately told you that she cannot be controlled.

They lack communication at this point and their stubbornness is making them fight. Even as I say that, I know this is part of the relationship as you get to know each other more. Fights are necessary as you discover more things about your partner. If handled well, it will stabilize your relationship in the future.

Well, I’m so looking forward to the romance development tomorrow! Selfishly, I want to see a budding relationship that is passionate and how they will express that ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Ep 16 is a gem too. How LBY casually mentioned CSS undressed him in front of her parents and alluded to the depth of their relationship due to the life and death situations they went thru. Was he trying to get her parents to marry off CSS to him bec of an intimacy scandal? Lol.

Loved the korean drama “eve” . It catered to adults as its not light romance and had a really twisted revenge plot. The villains made my blood curl that I really hated them and wondered if there are humans who can do such things for money. I don’t know if this your taste, but it’s worth watching.

How all 3 looked at her when she entered the hall. oh my. And LY immediately blocked her from seating next to LY. These guys are trying to be subtle but it made me giggle!

Also, I felt LBY was cunning, trying to get some alonetime with CSS by sending her in the carriage, knowing he will arrive at almost the same time in the manor. Offering to take her around and preventing encounters with LY. LBY You sly fox!

LS tried to dissuade LY from being engaged so early. Lol. And under the pretense of studying, trying to understand how LY got to know CSS. LS you are entirely full of schemes too!

Sorry if this should be posted on season 1 thread, but can’t help and gush here. Rewatched eps 14 to 15 and found it so gut wrenching how LBY and YS was watching the love story bet CSS and LY unfold. Like they see it right before them and have to keep their reactions at bay. They were so eager to go back to Hua county to see CSS and surprised that LY is already so close to CSS.

One particular scene that got me all worked up was when LY and CSS went on a trip to the countryside and then had to stay bec of the rain. In the shelter, LY suddenly announced he is engaged to CSS, the 2 other male leads reaction was precious! Not to mention LBY’s aide spilling the tea due to shock. LOL.

LY was so attentive and sweet, giggling at how he put his hands over CSS’s ears bec of the thunder. Again, the other 2 ML’s are trying to hold back from doing anything.

This part is where all ML’s had realized their affection for our FL is more than curiosity and did not want it to be platonic. If I had to guess what LBY was thinking, he prob couldn’t understand how it developed that fast when he just rescued her and LY was nowhere to be found. And now they are engaged! Lol.

Anyways just biding time till tom and so it’s so fascinating how they come together later in later ep and it was LBY’s turn to be engaged with CSS. I wonder if this will have a similar scene once its her engagement with LS. But maybe not bec LBY is still in exile.

Oooh I heard about that and extraordinary attorney woo. Is it good?

Eagerly anticipating new dramas coming out after this. Hope we find another one as good or even better. Back at ep 5 lol

That may take a while. Lol. Until this drama ends in August, I may not be able to start a new one. Kept these in my watchlist so when I’m ready I can actually pay attention while watching. Caught myself staring blankly and replaying it bec I didn’t get what the ep was about. Lol.
First time this happened though, I used to be able to watch multiple dramas in a week.

I know! I tried and failed. Started so many of the recos but ended up switching back to LLTG. It’s kinda frustrating.lol.

That’s what I read as well, I assumed it was changed to be a kiss on the cheek. Let’s wait and see next week.

Any suggestions on what to watch that is a good as this one? I am into historical pieces lately but i want the same intense level of storytelling. I don’t know how to get thru 2 more nights and frankly I look forward to Wed more as i want to focus on their relationship development!

Great analogy. If they didn’t end up together, LBY would always see her as his TOTGA(The one that got away) . Now that I think about it, YS views her that way too. With the continuing care he does past her marriage to Lby.
