hmm, this is such a weird view! if i remember correctly, the script called for FL to kiss her co star as she was supposedly in love with her 'senior' and she at first kissed his cheek only, which prompted the director to call her off and say kiss the lips. FL had no way but to follow directions cos otherwise, she would be the cause of NGs and delay the shooting. This was also the reason why FL had to explain to ML about her profession and why she was reluctant to be in a relationship.
QF's brother is just as smart as XZZ haha. Looks like QF will have a lot on her hands with XZZ and her brother trying to protect her - just on opposing sides at this point lol.
I think this would be revealed later on episode 23-24. The boy is a result of XZZ's PTSD and is a figment of his imagination - I guess a way of trying to overcome the trauma of the failed surgery and what he has experienced in that environment 5 years ago.
The preview piqued my curiosity about that little boy in the orphanage that XZZ visits. Must be related to his inability to continue being a surgeon, but why keep it from QF? I am invested in the story of the main couple but sadly, am losing interest with the second couple because each time they interact, they keep on dragging about their past. At least they show the 2ML working, but how about the 2FL who is supposed to be a "best actress" awardee but all her scenes are either boxing in the gym or drinking her woes away...
I loved that scene when XZZ put QF to bed... their interaction screams that they are in their own little bubble.. felt so natural and realistic to me - their smiles and smirks said it all!
It is refreshing to see a celebrity portrayed as sharp-tongued as Qin Fei, that is why she is perceived to be arrogant and rude. A breath of fresh air compared to timid ones who fear speaking up and detrimentally losing their careers/fame. I find that the dialogues here are mostly honest and spoken instead of just having everything going in their heads without being heard. This also gives us a glimpse of how cut-throat the entertainment industry is. How fleeting fame and recognition can be. Just one scandal can ruin all the hard work you've put into your career. On the other hand, one publicized good deed could turn the tide in your favor.
I am loving this light hearted romcom with subtle comedic scenes on the side. I find myself laughing silently as I watch their interactions haha. Haven't pressed the fast button yet in the first 10 episodes so I hope this continues!
I appreciate the fact that so far the episodes show mostly the main leads and the support cast are not crowding all the air time. I hope it will stay this way as the series goes on.
Do we only get an episode today? I hope we get several! Been in drought for a sweet romance like I.L. so am hoping this is good. I might have to renew my VIP subscription now lol
This was a good watch overall, even though I did not get to finish the prequel (it was not my cup of tea and I struggled with the fast forward button most of the time). I agree with most of you, Lingfeng street arc dragged on and it slowed down the story, but it still delivered in the end. True, the last episodes could have been more exciting but still, it was enjoyable to watch and I love the hint of a season 3 where I hope they get to elaborate on the 'romance' side between CYB and XL as their chemistry seems promising throughout the season.
Why do I want to just watch all the remaining episodes in one go? The suspense is killing me... is this season ending when they finally reach Luohua Ancient Tower - that is if they ever reach it! Just hope they release season 3 soon - for continuity of the story.
do i have to watch season 1 before this season? and is season 1 good?
It is not necessary but you can watch it just to get the backstory on the characters. As season 1 was released several years ago, just expect that the CGI is not comparable to the currently airing season.
