I did the same! how come i was so touched and moved by all the crying scenes? and i rarely cry in any drama i watch, at least i don't remember a cdrama that has moved me as much as this one.

I feel the same way. FL has an engaging smile plus exudes sincerity and innocence amongst these cunning characters, truly a breath of fresh air. Her unquestionable devotion to the emperor has been proven and tested so many times too.

QY's bed is witness to their love, dreams, sorrow and fears. The scenes here tug at my heart each time. QY's and CRY's tears are all on point! I just can't, my heart is hurting and i am crying along with them. 😭😭😭😭😭 But why oh why can't I stop myself from watching their story?

If ep 27 & 28 is just halfway through, i wonder how I can take the next episodes til the end? Be still my heart, ahh! The suspense makes my heart palpitate with excitement and anxiety at the same time. This drama has definitely sustained my interest with the complexity of characters, the twists, the underlying betrayal and unfathomable selfish goals! My mind is definitely in overdrive trying to predict how the story will unfold!

A drama that involves all your senses especially your mind. We, as audience, are all trying to decipher each character's intentions and next moves, thus, everyone is invested in waiting for new episodes to see how the story unfolds! Definitely a must watch! The anticipation is heightened as one mystery after another crop up per each episode shown.

I agree. I hope everyone would just immerse in the story than commenting they do not like certain roles. I see some who say it is the role they do not like and not the actor, but then they contradict themselves in other posts indicating it is in fact the actor they do not like. Ahh, let us just enjoy the drama and try to solve the mysteries as we go along.

I definitely agree. Yu'er's character is more engaging as she fumbles along in all the schemers around her. I think she may be around 19yo only? In one ep, she said Qi Yan is just 25yo. So, what do you expect of a 19yo? Too young to be deceitful and full of lies especially since she was brought up in a loving (?) environment. Yan Zhi, on the other hand, grew up under QZL's shadow, so what do you expect of her? Of course she would be as scheming and deceitful (if not more) as her adoptive father because she is blinded by her goal of revenge. The character development here is definitely on Yu'er's side.

I have the same feeling... could the ending be when Qi Yan told Yu'er that they could finally be together? They did narrow down the episodes to 49 instead of the original 60 and have changed the name of Li Yan and Tang Dynasty so there is hope that they will spoil us and give us a happy ending instead of the ending from the novel.

Yeah, WeTV is good when it comes to english subtitles, but how come this drama is not on their trending list? 🤔 Well, both Cheng Yi and Zhang Yuxi are gaining more fans on weibo, hope that means that this drama is gaining popularity in China too, not just overseas! 😊🥰

I believe it would have reached 1 billion views by now if only Mango TV app is language friendly to international fans. As a non chinese, I cannot get the logic of the english translation on the app, i think they are just using google translate? LOL That being said, international fans are now divided, watching the drama in various platforms, depending on which is most language friendly for them.. i hope this drama gains momentum as we reach the half of the story cos they truly deserve the recognition!!

We haven't even watched half of the drama, and yet, this drama keeps us on our toes with all the scheming, lies, betrayal. Woah, this has got me thinking on who the third party really is but i believe, the most unusual suspect would be it! Ironic on how each character has their own motives and schemes but somehow the drama gels despite of this and keeps the audience in suspense. Ahh, I cannot wait for the next episodes, just imagine how exciting it would be as we reach the climax of the story!
