Yes. Some plots can be unpredictable because the drama don't follow the novel in entirety.

Some may not agree but I think the drama is better than the novel because ML, FL and SML acted well and gave more depth and emotions to the characters.

My thoughts are the same. 🤩🤩🤩🤩 It is quite like Moorish architecture and style from Central and Middle East.

I also believe the backdrop and props are new and never appeared in any other Cdrama (xianxia or otherwise).

Even costumes, hair pieces and accessories are brand new and not recycled from other dramas.

I am glad they cast actors who dont demand exorbitant fees that cut off the majority of the production budget. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

SML or Lord Chang Heng is not a character in the novel.

God of war is not a significant character in the novel and married to San Sheng, female exam invigilator for the fairy exam.

So far up to ep.8 there is no scene resembling the novel description of story telling except in the Tower scene after their bodies switched the ML torture FL by cutting her hair and she retaliated by pulling off his hair.

The overall story remain intact as most of the scenes in the drama are just gaps, untold in the novel that the producer/director can explore.
