I have been trying to finish episode 1 for more than a week now. The ratings are high, that's why I was trying…
The first episode was chaotic and quite frankly, hard to follow.
In 2nd episode, the real main plot starts to show why ML goes to jail and the audience can anticipate or guess where the story is going. The good parts are in episode 3 and 4 with some flashbacks explaining further what happened in between episode 1.
I hope there will be a Season 2. This drama is absolutely Great and Ordinary!! The acting were so to the point, realistic and natural.
If most Zhang Ruo-yun good dramas seem to run up to sequels, then we will have to wait for the shooting of Joy of Life 2 and Snow Sword Stride 2 done to be completed before Ordinary Greatness 2 can start.
I am trying to figure out how the producers can make the drama suspenseful or interesting with this plot. In real life, a cheating scandal is unlikely able to bring down an empire or a large conglomerate.
I am totalling hooked with this drama now that I cant accept any flaw, especially the ending. πππ
*Sigh*... Jian Jun... I really have no words. My heart felt so heavy watching ep. 26. *Sigh*
Although the Chief of Baile River Police Station was sad and disappointed, he still went all out to help his sub-ordinate, Jian Jun , without hesitation.
Such a commendable and respected superior. ππ»ππ»ππ»
This drama is soooo good and comforting like Chicken Soup. ππ»ππ»ππ»π π π
Finding solutions for small or big disputes is not always be about who is right or wrong whether legally or morally. It is about finding balance for justice and peaceful solutions.
I think Crystal Liu acted better when she is speaking her mother tongue. No offense, I had watched Mulan too and she was ok.
Wow....watching different generation of actors playing Xiao Long Nui (2006) π§π»and Yang Guo (2014)π¦π» brings alot of excitement and anticipation. Anyway, in real life both FL and ML are 34 years old.
Was that Lee Dong- Gun's photo appearing in the flashbacks in ep. 1?

This drama somehow brings back the late 90s and early 2000s vibe in terms of make up. The close up faces of ML and FL are truly natural with small spots; no magic touch up or thick foundation that whiten the face until it becomes absolutely flawless, unnatural and unbeliavable given they are potraying Joseon era drama.
Audiences are more convinced when the acted expressions are not distracted by excessive make up or touch up ππ»ππ»ππ»
I enjoyed the drama and watched till the end. Those who have dropped early and mid way from the drama, hope you can try to pick it up again as you may have missed some of the good parts e.g. witness FL growth and late success and how FL transformed ML to be a better a person. Also the unintended funny scenes when ML and FL went to out station site visit. π€π€π€

I think the necklace was sponsored so Seo Yea Ji has no say which Bulgari necklace she prefers to wear.
βThe Serpenti is a symbol of power and seduction, but it is also transformative,β said by Bulgariβs creative director Lucia Silvestri.

This is my 2nd Cheng Xiao drama after Nothing Gold Can Stay. I like that he doesnt mind playing ML coupling with mega female stars like Crystal Liu and Betty Sun Li and not outshine by them. In fact, he could totally charm FL ππ€©ππ€©
3 episodes finished quite fast. So far the drama is enjoyable. The emotional scenes are quite convincing especially the kid playing Tawan.
