Why? Why? Why? F4 franchise is always very popular no matter which country's production it come from, why one episode in a week only? The wait for the next episode is unbearable πππ
This is a good and enjoyable Cdrama anyone can binge in a day or two for 20 episodes straight.
Although some plots are overly dramatized but they were done to make it more funny. Also the drama has quality in casting, production and materials so it is not a low budget Mango drama. All the 3 FLs have equal storytelling screen time, character development and wardrobe.
The last 3 episodes are the funniest and I hope the producers will do a Season 2.
I re-rated 1 point higher for the last few episodes.
Its a long, well researched and colourful article. I really like the article and read every sentence. Now I know the larger picture of the mythology behind the Habeuk story.
The Bride of Water God was an underwhelming kdramaand truly a wasted opportunity to tell a good story. The FL's good acting didnt save the bad script, poor editing and CGI. I watched to the very last episode hoping it will end will a blast....but didnt. So I was disappointed.
I am also at ep. 8.I was laughing hard about the unverified "olden ways" of serving aristocrats using sushi conveyor…
Oh yes the Japanese Bamboo Noodles Slides in Kyoto. I learned about this from watching an old ep. of Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tse trying to catch the noodles from the water steam in Chef Nic - Mandarin travel and food program.
Anyway coming back to the drama, although Li Ziqi had recreated the traditional floating food rotator as shown in Utube, but does it go way back to Tang dynasty, which was the era drama was in.
Atleast the ending is not abrupt and has loose ends/unexplained big question marks like those typical low budget mid tier idol drama.
1st half is still follow the idol drama formula in storytelling, arcs, character development and pacing. The focus was more on romantic relationships, revenge and redemption.
2nd half was more about the revolution during the Republican era and how it was impacting all the characters lives.
I am glad none of the handsomes turned evil and greedy. Evan Lin still looks very handsome without that strand of hair placed horizontally to divide the fringe in the last 10 mins of the last wp. 36 πππ CXX acting has improved and noticed he did most of stunts himself ππ»ππ»ππ».
FL is also playing her role well as she has shown alot maturity and bravery, not neglected.
Imho this drama is more interesting compared to The King's Affection however the total number of MDL watchers/members for King's Affection is almost double at 16,373 compared to Red Sleeves at 8,541.πππ
All cards on the table: I am absolutely loving the experience of watching this show. It's just such an entertaining…
Yes! I have invested alot of emotions into this drama and always come back to MDL to check other viewers comments so that I can balanced out the emo π§π»ββοΈπ§π»ββοΈπ§π»ββοΈ
Shifu's way of protecting haishi by throwing her into emperor's arms is ridiculous. He takes haishi as weak who…
The relationship between Emperor, Shifu/Lord Qinghai and Haishi is not as simple as just love and romance and who takes care of who better. It also involves the future of the Dangzhe kingdom.
Well .....protecting Haishi is also about protecting the Emperor vis a vie the kingdom for the safety of the people.

I was laughing hard about the unverified "olden ways" of serving aristocrats using sushi conveyor belt πππ
Not sure why but I feel more emotionally invested in 2nd couple Emperor and Tilan and their ending ππππ compared to FJM and HS.
