Like many other people have stated tho, I can't help but continue to watch this 'train wreck'. At this point,…
The scriptwriter and director made it less darker by creating a valid justification ie Shifu got poisoned and suddenly abandoned his plan to marry Haishi instead push Haishi to emperor to protect her.
I suspect the original plot was that Haishi is brought up, trained all along by shifu to protect Di Xu/emperor and the kingdom.
Just started watching ep.1 N,WABU today after catching up with the latest eps in The Red Sleeve. Can't really compare which is better or shd have higher viewership as one is a historical drama and this is a modern drama. But I β€β€ both!!
Anyway, I truly appreciate the backstory also give viewers a glimpse of current fashion π π πΆπ§€π§·industry challenges behind the fun and glamorous scene ππππΈπΈπΈ
Even some scenes appear to be water filling and meaningless but as long as the good looking ML, SML 2x playing Junior Marshalls are on screen, I dont mind πππ
At the thought of Haishi, another splitting pain tore his chest asunder.. That gallant girl will return to the…
Thank you for sharing that piece in the novel at the time when most audience including me who are impatient and can't figure out how FJM truly feel about Haishi up to ep. 30. Sometimes hot π₯°π₯°π₯°, sometimes cold πππ
What I like most about the flow of the drama is that after some major events, e.g. uncovering of fake Princess Yanling assassination attempt, they will recap and explain what took place behind the scene.
The series are not related but the original novel which they were taken from had some controversies. The original…
Lost Tomb was not considered plagiarizing Candle in the Tomb. It was a fanfiction that grew as popular, if not more popular than the original. Due credit was given to the original author.
I have a question, in the main role there is wang pang zi wich is also a main role in the lost tomb. Are the two…
Candle in the Tomb series of novel came out first. The Lost Tomb, aka the Grave Robbers Chronicles started as fanfiction of Candle in the Tomb but grew as popular as the original.
I must praise the action choreography a bit here. Some martial moves, turns , flying kicks and flippings by Yangmi (or stunt double πππ ) when fighting enemies in Lanzi town seem new, innovative and interesting!
From what I heard from novel readers..Yes..He truly only loved Zizian..And HS loved FZ..While FZ didn't anyone…
There was a reason why in early episodes that HS keep saying and explaining to shifu and Zhouying older brother that she and shifu age gap is not big like father daughter and would be even more negligible when she gets older.
Do you agree that so far Mark Chao and Ethan Juan seem to be a more significant ML than William Chan is now?
In the current dynamics of things, as long as William Chan didn't have any scandal or black history then I would be grateful enough, man !! ππ»ππ»ππ»πππ
We need to look at the bigger picture here. WC was never known for his acting chops, well he can act well enough (subjective) and looks good for wuxia/xianxia as he can fight and ride horses well, then good enough. Am just thankful the drama can air as scheduled.
In last year's Tencent promo events, he teased Yangmi that he finally felt like a true ML in Cdramaland as finally Yangmi picked him as her ML. They both appear to have more fun and chemistry off camera as WC can joke and laugh unrestrained unlike Lord Qinghai.
They keep focusing the sleepy prince or maybe he's pretending ...π€
In ep. 17 or 18 that 4th prince was talking to his eagle that it needs to grow bigger and stronger before it can do something great. I guess he was subconsciously reminding himself.
Coming to Tilan..I don't how why she keeps provoking Emperor..Dressing up as Zizian thinking that will make him…
I sensed Tilan could be an unwilling ally to General Tang and even 4th Prince because she appears to struggling to survive in the palace rather than planning or scheming up to something sinister unlike her younger maid who always seems to be manipulating her master to get close to the mad emperor.
Xu Kai Cheng is playing his character as the emperor very well because at the moment i hate his guts for the way…
You are right! I felt for the first time Xu Kaicheng has proven he can act in different characters. I must say he has grown alot here compared to the 1st drama i took notice of him in an insignificant role in Moonshine and Valentine opposite Victoria Song.
XKC is luckier than Xing Zhaolin, who didnt get the opportunity to play more challenging roles but still playing the stereotypical rich/bratty/spoiled ML.
I suspect the original plot was that Haishi is brought up, trained all along by shifu to protect Di Xu/emperor and the kingdom.
What surprised me was about the little boy Sejong's real identity.

I guess may take a few more as it will have go stretch up to 50 eps and each ep. has more than 1 hour.
I dont mind as sometimes it can funny and entertaining although sometimes illogical.
What I like most about the flow of the drama is that after some major events, e.g. uncovering of fake Princess Yanling assassination attempt, they will recap and explain what took place behind the scene.
Worm Valley is placed On Hold for weeks!
FL and ML are advancing well and blurring in lines of mentor/student relationship in current episodes. Hate to see them being apart again.
Looking forward to tonight's 2 new episodes.
Continous unfair treatment to Tilan will motivate him to rebel.
Anyway, can't wait for 8pm to watch 2 more new episodes!!
Its a well balanced story and not like some dramas creating 2nd/3rd couplings as water filling episodes without any convincing storylines
