This drama generated alot of controversies from Dilireba's hairdo covering her natural beauty, Han Chinese ML playing ethnic minority and vice versa with FL, using doubles to do stunts, the age gap btw ML and FL, the kissing scene replaced by birds (health reasons maybe), too many drawings replacing actual shooting ( maybe to pay homage to manhua/manga), inaccuracy in history reference, actual manhua still in legal tussle btw writer and stakeholders and hanging without an ending for many years, etc etc etc....
Fans like me will continue to watch despite the flaws no doubt. Cant wait to see more of 2nd leads CP on screen time!
For those who have just started or catching up, you can just stop @ ep.27 because I think the real story have ended there. I personally feel that the producers could've just ended in ep.27 with a happy or open ended ending.
The continuation from Ep. 28 to 30 are just for diehard fans to see the FL and ML reminiscing each other in flashbacks.
Wei Shuyu is useless as always. If he died, I wouldn't even care, I would be highly sastified xD
Wei Shuyu although not a villain but less interesting compared to Haodu, a villain but has many layers.
Alen Fang played the role the best he could like fighting and horse riding scenes were convincing. A good love rival to Haodu. So he is still an important character in the story.

It was meant to be a joke, a common joke among all of Reba's male leads. She has a nickname called "Phang Di" or Fatty Di that Reba herself laughs about it. Just go and watch the earlier Keep Running variety shows.
