Understand 2nd couple and 3rd couple deserve screen time but too much would make it look like water episodes or filling episodes.

I like the pace of the show so far. Can sensed Zhao Lusi has truly immersed herself in this role as Xu Yan , who overworked herself to survive..poised but at the same time drained/burnt out.

It would be good if once in a while, the story also include ML's perspective or narration. William Chan acted convincingly as a controlling husband but hide behind his smile. His mother, Auntie Yu Lan is also a well cast and memorable acting, whether a snobbish mother in law or played as revenging mother but died tragically in Chen Du Ling's drama - The Glory.

Atleast Gina Jin has more lines and some notable and memorable momemts in with ML.

Nazha's character has no weight in the story.

Naza is sooo under-used

Naza is the 2nd name appearing in the opening ost after Cheng Yi. She is so under-used.

Douban rating is only 4.8. vs Legend of the Female General at 5.5.

Maybe due to back to back Female General main theme drama with the same male lead, Ryan Cheng Lei that viewers got fatigue. Could have been higher if both dramas were screened atleast 2 months apart and also the stories are very different, shouldn't be stereotype.

My personal fave is Shadow Love ❤️ 😍 💖

Looking forward to Ryan Cheng's next costume drama with Bai Lu.
