Congratulations on your first article :) It's always great to see articles about Thai stars because they are not so popular.
Anyway, I think I watched him in two or three dramas, he's got a face that is not easy to forget.
Is it just me or did Ken make it twice onto the thai actor list? ^^

My post was directed at those who obviously did not read the first sentence of the article which obviously states that there were nominations, which means that the voting options are the result of more than a hundred of MDL users who nominated, and not mine own decision.
Anyway, thanks, if you have any specific program to recommend then that would be amazing, the voting was my own idea but I'd be glad to get any help or more people who would contribute, the more the merrier! :)
For those who are unable to read, the voting is based on 99% MDL users' nominations, it reflects the current popular scene (which is logical) with the minority of "legends" who will stay legends, well, probably forever, so it's no wonder they are popular even today.
It's impossible to let users type their own choices (I thought of that tbh) because that would be a mess, even these 12 polls are too much, splitting them into even more subcategories would be very difficult. (trust me, I know, I was the one who did collecting hundreds and hundreds of nominations).
During the nominations HK and Chinese actors weren't separated but I decided to do that for the voting and their belonging to a specific group is based on their nationality (Takeshi Kaneshiro had more Japanese votes than the Taiwanese ones and that's why he ended up being in the Japanese group, for example). There are some exceptions, for example Jackie Chen who wriggled his way out of the HK group and found himself among Chinese (dunno how, mea culpa I guess), but honestly, they are the same and no worries, the votes will be counted properly in the end if I decide to transfer him back to HK; or maybe I'll decide to put them together and have only the Chinese group with the honorable mentions of the most voted HK actors/actresses.
And lastly, it's impossible to please everyone :) This voting is meant as a way of engaging all of the MDL users, making them interact with each other and have fun. The voting reflects only the MDL community (mostly), it's not the world competition and it does not belittle any actor/actress.
To sum up, have fun (if you want to) and feel free to share any nominations/voting ideas that would be more interesting and perhaps have even greater impact and engage even more users. This is also a nice way of making people interested in the site and Asian scene in general.

That's true, just take for example Roman Polanski, he is considered one of the best directors, but his personal life makes him disgusting. Some say that personal life and work should be separated, but it is so hard to do so!
I personally like checking out actors and even following them, but I end up liking the films/dramas because of the plot, writing, acting and overall impression and not because of that specific actor.
voting for best looking could give the winner a lot of bashing but idk, it could be fun Maybe there could be a…
Maybe "best hairstyles" would be better than "bad hairstyles" because the fans will probably take it too serious if some of their fav actors/characters get nominated and then we can expect slaughter in the comment section.
Additionally, the results may end up being too diluted.
Best villains and couples sound good. Not so long ago we had the best drama osts voting, so it may be more interesting to go for something different.

Having a favorite actor is really individual, there are so many factors that contribute and it is not usually just acting skills but also looks, aura, public behavior etc that contribute to being someone's fav or best. Of course actors are important, I usually have the fav ones according to the impressions they made, the most impressive and versatile roles usually have the best actors, imo.
