Yes it was unexpected! Good for her! 🎉 However I don't think she will get over Gyumin just bcs of Hyungyu. When she was chosen, she was more focused on Gyumin like "Hey this new kid chose ME. You're jealous, right?" 🙄

This drama is 80% romance. Expect a tear jerking 12 eps to the end 😭 however it is very sweet.
There are two love triangles for both couples. The rival basically doesn't do anything. He's more like a comic relief than a rival. He doesn't give up and keeps on supporting her, but not in evil way. He's a good boy till the end.
The second couple is ... I don't care 😂
For the ending, bcs it's time travel, expect an open ending. You need to watch until the end, then read the comments below to understand properly about what happened and why it became like that. A fan named "xmag" stated the deductions really well. I made a summary about it too below.

I want to burn that nrta!!! A lot of scriptwriter can't make any good story bcs of them! They should at least give a pass to a story that is not related to any historical figure 😑

At first I cried and cursed a lot watching the ending. However after rewatching and reading the comments below it makes sense.

1. Ayin and Qinyu had the same dream.

2. Qinyu and Ayin solved the mystery in the present time.

3. Bcs of what happened in the present time, Qinyu doesn't change the past. He does exactly as how his life is written in the present. However, he is able to find justice for the past A Ze and Taotao. This makes all the past souls reincarnated into good people bcs they have no hatred towards Qinyu anymore.

4. Chi Yu wakes up and remembers someone hit her and pushed him to the water, but the elder said he fell into the water. It's bcs A Ze has no relationship with Chi Yu.

5. Chi Yu and Ayin are the reincarnations of Qinyu and Jin Zi.

6. Only Chi Yu and Ayin remember the alternate 2018.

7. Qinyu appears on the tram is Ayin's illusion. As if he's telling her he will come to see her.

8. Chi Yu finally meets Ayin at the bus stop.

The reason they didn't show a proper ending is bcs of the censorship 😭 this is the best they could do for a time travel drama.

Chen Yuqi did great portraying Jin Ayin. She shows the variety of expressions and has great chemistry with Hu Yitian. As a character, Jin Ayin is realistic person. She's poor and has a big dream: to live in a big apartment and take her grandma to live with her. Therefore she needs money and has been saving it. She works hard writing scripts and finally gets accepted. She's also a loyal friend and a forgiving person. Moreover she values family 👍🏻

Indeed. The second couple doesn't have anything to do with the main story nor related to the growth of the leads. The writer created them to have a secondary love story. This drama is good even with the main couple only. Just need a more proper explanation and plot to make sense.

Bcs china is strict to history. Time travel means change the history, change the future. Scriptwriter can write fiction from history, as long as it doesn't include time travel.

I agree! I didn't forget about Jisoo. I was so angry at Nayeon and Heedoo. I didn't have any more strength to comment about Jisoo 😅

Yes I don't understand why Jisoo spoke about Nayeon and Taei to Jiyeon and Heedoo. She doesn't have the right to. Of course what the third person hears will be different from the truth, as the information will be lessened or exaggerated. Jiyeon didn't even know the truth, she talked based on her own deductions. Logically, people should check the fact from the people involved, rather than "I heard that... I heard that..." It created misunderstanding and unnecessary drama. If it was bothering Jiyeon, she should ask Nayeon. When Heedoo saw Jiyeon crying, why went to Jisoo to ask why Jiyeon is crying? Was he so dumb that he didn't even think it was partly his fault? He put all the blames to Nayeon and said he regretted inviting her to Jeju 😑

On the other hand Jisoo was right by scolding Nayeon for hugging Taei. However it should stop there. Not starting a gossip .

Nayeon is my favorite, but I really hate her when she's with Heedoo. They both spit fire and that's the very reason they always broke up. They will never work out, yet Nayeon wants to go through hell again 🤦‍♀️

I dislike Heedoo from the start. He spit fire on Nayeon's face and said he regretted inviting her to go to Jeju. Dude! He's the dumb one! Why did he invite her and not Jiyeon? He knew Nayeon would accept him 🤦‍♀️

For once Li Longda did right: scolds Qinyu for being egoist. Why all ML in dramaland suffer "hero sickness"? All these ML think the best way to give happiness to FL is to run away without saying goodbye and ask his friends to take care of her 😑 whether he has incurable disease or someone tries to kill him. They all stand behind a "to protect her" banner. Longda said it right: Qinyu doesn't understand Ayin at all. Ayin is trying to make as many memories with him so she won't have regrets, but all Qinyu thinks is keep everything by himself. Ayin isn't weak or dumb.

Gosh. The past few days are such tear jerking 😭😭😭 I still believe in happy ending.

Yes I don't understand. Jiyeon was upset bcs of Heedoo, but why suddenly she said she's upset that Taei chose Nayeon? She should know Taei isn't that kind of person who will choose someone else after a date. She misunderstood Taei and Nayeon. That caused Heedoo to get angrier at Nayeon. More importantly, why Jiyeon and Jisoo casually talked about Taei as if Jiyeon had revealed her ex? I was like "Wait. What?"

I really want this season to end now. It's too much, too complicated, too messy. We have 6 eps left, but we have nothing. Nothing. We can't foresee the end.

Nayeon made mistake. She wanted to care for everyone. She doesn't have to. Whether it's bcs she was drunk, or bcs it's her personality, in eastern culture, it will create misunderstanding. It's common for western people to hug or kiss friends. I do skinships to my male friends without any romantic feelings. Nayeon might did it unconsciously, but she should behave. It made Jiyeon misunderstood her and Taei.

Meanwhile, I can't stand seeing Heedoo and Nayeon. They are not meant to be. They will never work out. Even if they reconcile, there will be another fight, another break up. It's bcs they are two different people who are prideful. None of them is willing to give in. Trying to hold on with love won't get them anywhere. It will only make them feel tired emotionally and mentally. For God's sake why would you want to go through another despair??? If you want to be happy, find someone who treats you with kindness and respect. I guess Nayeon only cares about now and not the future after leaving the house. Gyumin is perfect for her and they will have a bright future, but apparently she prefers to repeat history. Also, I actually don't like Nayeon when she's with Heedoo. When she's with Heedoo, it's tension, fire and arrogance. When she's with Gyumin she looks lovely, bright and relaxed.

And WHY did Heedoo choose Nayeon???? If he likes Jiyeon, choose her! It's like giving both of them false hope! He wants to have a good talk with Nayeon? bah! He just can't leave her! Gyumin didn't choose Hae-eun bcs he doesn't want to give her false hope, bcs once he chooses her or sends her text, she will misunderstand it.

Not really. In Heart signal 3, all 4 guys fell for the quiet introverted girl named Park Jihyun. She's really beautiful!
Btw the popular girl in Exchange 1 was Minyoung, not Bohyun. Minyoung got 3 votes.

My theory:
-In 1936, Taotao and A Ze are siblings. After she dies, he plans to take revenge on Qinyu.
-so he swaps the gun used by Jin Zi (Ayin's past self) to kill Qinyu.
-Jin Zi is an extra in Qinyu's movie and is assigned to shoot Qinyu.
-When she realizes she is holding a real gun, she is shocked and cries.
-After traveling back to 1936, Qinyu might go back to his body who is in comma (before they announced his death as written in history) OR he manages to dodge the bullet and catch Yang Darong (A Ze).
-Qinyu dies peacefully and reincarnated as Chi Yu. So Chi Yu appears in front of Ayin with Qinyu's memories. Or Qinyu takes over Chi Yu's body and continues to live as Chi Yu.

Ayin easily trusts people. Especially bcs she is friends with A Ze and Taotao. She would never expected her childhood friend is able to do that. Of course even though they feel something wrong with Longda's tone on the phone, they would never expected he works together with A Ze to kill Qinyu. Like, how would they expect that? Longda and A Ze met, talked and became bestie without them knowing. But Ayin is smart to quickly check Qinyu's location and called Abao for help. I hope she arrives fast and snap those lunatics.

A Ze is a disgraceful, lowest dirt of all!!! He is willing to hurt Ayin who has done a lot for him and Taotao!
