DX clearly said how Zizan told him to be a good husband, good father, good emperor and do the right thing. They were a normal couple, but if you saw their flashbacks, it's obvious she was the leader in this relationship. She protected him. DX was too kind which was why Zhunian took advantage of him. He was a good boy bcs he was a prince born from a commoner. And as a love fool, DX listened to everything Zizan said. Maybe you think the opposite bcs their scenes weren't enough for you. But it is for me. It's also clear how the vibe is different with Tilan.

I think differently. I understand his action and the outcome. The emperor didn't want to lose Tilan. He knew Suolan won't hurt her, but the fact he kidnapped her showed Suolan doesn't care about Tilan as a person. If Suolan gets her, doesn't mean she's safe. She will be in greater danger, will be used as pawn, will be manipulated, will live in hell. The emperor didn't go off his character. He is a fool in front of his beloved woman. He is a husband before an emperor. So he fought as a man who protects his family, not as an emperor nor soldier. He drew a defense line, "If you cross this line, you're dead". If he goes too forward, away from the door, the rebels would take the chance to go behind the door and gain advantage. Then it means more danger to Tilan. He didn't think about "what if I can't last?" The only thing he cared is protecting his family, considering he lost Zizan bcs he went too far.

He didn't have any plan B bcs it was too sudden (and Jianming wasn't there to aid him). The whole city was under attack. He could only depend on himself. Also he didn't lose to Suolan bcs he successfully protected Tilan until she safely gave birth. He was distracted by the baby's cry and the joy knowing his baby has born, so they took the chance to stab him. It's Suolan who lost against the emperor. Until the end he couldn't take away Tilan and accidentally killed her. Mission failed.

While Haishi, her mission was to attack and take down Tang. She didn't have to worry about protecting Jianming or her baby (if she has one). She will act the same like the emperor if she's in the same situation. Have you seen a cat/lion who tried to protect her babies from predators? It's the same. It doesn't need logic. It's natural instinct to protect a family.

That's what CXY said in her interview. Might be bcs they were young. DX was a free spirited, childish and liked to be spoiled by Zizan. Remember DX's monologue? He said Zizan would tell him what to do if he is ever in dilemma. Zizan taught him how to be a good husband, a good person. That's why she's the mother figure.

Yes I know we must never forgive R-word. but that's Tilan. She's a forgiving person. She accepts everything as her fate and never blames anyone. I was shocked too that this character exists in a drama. We can take it this way: they are husband and wife. Tilan made mistakes by triggering his old wounds, so she LET him to r-ape her. She didn't fight back. But she won the battle! She survived another hell and even made DX loves her. I think this is what the writer wanted to convey to the viewers. Haishi and Tilan fought with different weapons and they both won. FYI, I played a lot of games where the heroines were r-aped early at the game, they fell in love with the r-apist and have happy ending 🤦‍♀️ for the bad ending is r-ape every day 🤦‍♀️ the heroines didn't have any reason to love the r-apist while the r-apist were just too horny. it's ridiculous.

First, bcs the enemy is Suolan. Tilan wouldn't want her husband and brother to kill each other. The emperor knows her too well. Second, the emperor was meant to defend, not attack. His wife was in labor, he couldn't make a reckless movement. Suolan made an order to kill the emperor. He must be hiding behind dozens of soldiers so it was hard for the emperor to seize Suolan to make them stop the attack. While Tang, he had a different mission. He didn't want to kill anyone. And Haishi, she came with a reinforcement. Tang didn't stand a chance being cornered from both sides. So it was easy to take him down.

Tilan doesn't have any evil intention, isn't power greedy and willing to sacrifice herself. She's a bit stubborn and naive though.

She didn't try to punish him. She knew there is a kind and loving man inside the emperor, but he treated her bad bcs her resemblance with Zizan. If her existence hurts him, then she might as well end her life. She got another chance to live. With the emperor started treating her kindly, she decided to be the cure to his dead heart. Chen Xiaoyun said Zizan is the emperor's mother figure, while Tilan is his cure. As long as Tilan exists, the emperor will be back to normal.

Me and another user named JVN also admire Tilan. Usually I hate this kind of character: weak and looks hopeless. But the more I see her, Tilan actually fights with kindness. She has a strong heart that made her survived all those sufferings. She doesn't have evil intention, isn't power greedy, doesn't hold grudges, never blames anyone, she forgives and moves on. She's willing to sacrifice herself, stubborn but also naive. It's her kindness that changed a tyrant into a wise and loving man. She makes me feel if people in this world have half of her kindness, this world would've been a better place 🙏

I talked about this with Lita. I watched CXY and XKC's interview. They talked about their characters. They started from hatred, then the hatred slowly disappeared. Tilan tried to avoid him bcs she was scared of him. After they spent time together in "reading reports", she started to understand and like him. So her feelings towards him are fear, respect and attracted. The more she understands him the more she falls for him. She knew DX is a kind person but she didn't understand why he treated her bad. She thought if her existence only hurt him so might as well end her life. When DX started treating her kindly she thought he was being apologetic and tried to fix his mistakes. Bcs she had another chance, she decided to be his cure. In summary Zizan is his mother figure, Tilan is the cure to his heart. As long as Tilan exists, DX will be back to normal and won't get crazy. They portrayed it perfectly, but some people might miss ir. If the drama showed more of them, millions of people would curse on XuLan even more 😭

If you watch until ep 46, it's happy ending. If you watch until ep 48 it's tragic, bittersweet and open ending in one.

Actually he started to treat her kindly after she rescued him from drowning (ep 13?) Then ep 17-19, ep 24 up to the end.

The emperor is way above Haishi. Haishi is way above Tang. So it's obvious Haishi could beat Tang easily. Skill wise, Haishi is fourth, after Jianming, the emperor and Zhuoying. The emperor had to fight all those rebels by himself until night so of course he was exhausted.

There will be elimination on ep 5. If money catcher choose each other then they will be eliminated, isn't it? Jungwoo-Inseong? Dana-Wonjae? If Wonjae chooses Dana for his next date and she agrees, she might change her choice to Wonjae. Or Jungwoo-Dana? I'm most confused with Yeomin. As if she came only to eat and win the challenges 😅 I don't want Jungwoo to be eliminated though. I like seeing his face 😂

Next, I'm rooting for Suwon-Haneul. They surely like each other from the start. However they have different pace in dating. Suwon likes it fast and sure, Haneul is more careful and likes it slow. Given only one week, it's hard to give her heart to a man she just met with the possibility he is a money catcher. With five men and five women, it's totally fine to try to date or get to know others. But these two are like the fix pairing, everyone knew. Ep 4 explained a lot. The main problem is Suwon wanted Haneul to try things and follow his lead, but Haneul was overthinking. They didn't communicate well that eventually made them upset. Of course Haneul cried seeing Suwon suddenly changed his heart.

Communication is important but somehow they couldn't convey their feelings. They didn't say what they want. Suwon said things he didn't mean and it hurt Haneul even more. Jimin did great by trying to cheer her up and push them to talk. Seeing the next ep, Jimin might use this chance to chase Haneul. Jimin is unpredictable. He likes Haneul, but didn't make a move, yet he didn't care about other girls too. Haneul is interested in Jimin, but currently it's 20:80 to Suwon. Haneul is comfortable with Jimin bcs she doesn't like him as much as she likes Suwon.

Suddenly stumbled into this show and found a couple of people I know 😆 this is my first time watching Love Catcher and I was shocked by the rules. First, seven days is SUPER SHORT! Second, they have to move fast and choose their desired partner. Third, elimination!

There are some kiss scenes, but don't expect too much 😂 for unhealthy relationship, the emperor and Tilan started with hatred and abuse, it was toxic, but later they became the most romantic couple out of three couples. For the fantasy, it's not the main point of this drama.

They use their real voices here which is very appreciated. For Yang Mi it heard it's bcs she has rhinitis 🤔

Well they cut 7 eps so a lot of footage gone to waste 😭 during the badge carving Xu was bothered by Tilan (she's weak but stubborn). But the first turning point was when he was drowned, he started to see her differently. It was obvious he started to care for her, while she was still scared of him until she saw him regularly to read letters. Of course the abuse and rape couldn't be forgotten, but he completely changed and devoted himself for her. If viewers skip their scenes, they won't understand and only bad memories remain. Same with Jianming. Some viewers only see him as an emotionless man, but it's interesting to see how he changes from time to time bcs of Haishi.

Of course. Different people different taste. If this drama can't get your attention then don't force yourself. Might be someday you decide to rewatch this. Who knows? I actually don't like this kind of heartbreaking drama, but I like it anyway 😊
