This drama has 3 parts, and somehow I got bored so I skipped part 2 and 3. Part 1 was good, but I dislike the ML's character in part 2. I feel like the actor doesn't suit the nerd teenage character. He looks awkward. Sadly I won't watch the sequel.
Actually I didn't have plan to watch this, but i have watched 3 of Zhang Wanyi's drama, so I thought of giving it a try. So far I have no problem with the pace and plot. It is slow, but it's fine for me.
Women in ancient era really had difficult life. Men can make or break them. The father here is so narrow minded, blind and biased. Although he does listen to his mother and can be convinced.
Btw it was cute to see Nine in historical drama š and Wu Yuheng as the sixth uncle.
The crew of äøå é¦ē»£ (this drama) claimed that the investor had maliciously withheld payments and suspected that the investor had raised third-party funds, and had initiated legal proceedings to protect their rights.
It's 8 years, not 6. You said "Thereās no proper epilogue to show what happens after they reunite." The novel…
You're welcome!
I'm sorry. I'm not really a novel reader š I only read the novels that Meng Ziyi is the FL. For example Royal Rumours, Peach Blossoms Reflecting The World and the newest one is Tigers Sniff the Rose in which Meng Ziyi is rumored to be the FL. Sorry I can't help...

My dear, please read the comments above carefully. You jumped into a conclusion bcos you didn't read it thoroughly š„
Huayong is announced dead to the world. I wrote "dead" bcos he is actually still alive, he just left the capital to search for an antidote. Bcos he is "dead" Xihe can't possibly announce "Oh btw my husband the former crown prince is actually still alive."
The extra 5 chapters mentioned the details about every characters who are still alive after the rebellion. If you really want to know about the ending, do read those extras slowly, don't skim it.
Do you guys actually like this drama?I am starting this and on episode 1. I find it kind of jerky.I've read the…
I read the novel epilogue and became interested in her friends getting their own husbands. I'm on ep 14 and will continue just for SFL and her prince bcos I really don't like the ML's personality. He doesn't deserve the FL, and it is annoying how he bullies SML bcos FL likes him. He has no right!
If you have no drama to watch, why don't you try older drama? They are mostly better than new ones. Nirvana In Fire, A Journey to Love, Blossom, Journey of Flower, Singing All Along, Ashes of Love, Love and Destiny, Parallel World, Meet Yourself, Heavenly Sword Dragon Slaying Sabre (2019 ver), Mysterious Lotus Casebook, Novoland Pearl Eclipse, Legend of Shen Li, Royal Rumours, Sword and Fairy 4, The Long Ballad, The Starry Love, The Story of Minglan, The Princess Royal, Blossom in Adversity, Flourished Peony.
I'm watching this bcos I read the novel epilogue and became interested with her friends getting their own husbands. I want to see this 2 love lines.
I'm now on ep 14 and what annoys me the most is Lu Chang's attitude. He was the one who avoided her, ignored her, misjudged her, didn't want to spend time to know her, rejected her and felt relieved when she canceled the marriage. Now seeing she likes another man, he feels jealous, agitated, angry, etc. He bullies Qingzhao to vent his jealousy. What right does he have? He rejected her for years! Oh yes I know it was due to her dad grooming him, but does it mean the daughter is also scheming? Lu Chang doesn't deserve Mingshu. He had wasted her. Just like the man who deceived Shujun, wasted a good and devoted girl.
My other problem: Lu Chang doesn't have the elegance of a scholar. Scholars are known to be elegant and graceful even if they come from humble families. Perhaps due to his aloof personality?
Ending Spoiler Ahead....I read this novel over 800+ chapters in about 6 days, and I liked it a lot. Itās definitely…
It's 8 years, not 6.
You said "Thereās no proper epilogue to show what happens after they reunite."
The novel already has 5 extra chapters as epilogue that mention everyone after the rebellion. As soon as they reunited, they had sex for 3 straight days. The author also hinted that Huayong is already "dead", and Xihe has new male concubine that looks like Huayong. They will just leave it like that since this family don't care about rumor.
I'm confused as to why do you think these 5 chapters are not enough.
Even Meng Ziyi said Dou Zhao is a perfect woman. There is 30+ y.o woman's soul in a baby's body (in the novel).…
No, it is bcos I read the novel 3 times so I understand her more. Dou Zhao is like the ideal woman. Rather than Dou Zhao, I prefer Bu Yinlou (UL), bcos she is super lazy, wants to do nothing and only cares about herself.
I felt the chemistry between the main couple, however, i too also felt Dou Zhao was too perfect and can do no…
Are you sure Dou Zhao never makes mistakes?
Dou Zhao is neither God nor sage. She has been struggling ever since she was reborn and trying to fix her past mistakes. Knowing the future, but there are some things she can't change, is it not a struggle? She even expresses her dilemma to Ji Yong a few times. Is it not bcos she is struggling?
She fears marriage. She fears she won't be a good wife and mother. She fears Song Mo. She fears of getting involved in Song family's affairs. She fears of getting involved in politics. She fears of making the same mistakes. She keeps rejecting Song Mo bcos she is afraid.
Did you not remember the conversation they have when tending the purple myrtle? Or when he has to chase her again and again? It shows that he knows she is struggling about something and wants to help share her burdens.
But it seems for you, her inner struggles isn't called struggles? I'm confused.
I completed this and I want to say that even if I didn't like something about FL and plot, this is still a pretty…
Even Meng Ziyi said Dou Zhao is a perfect woman. There is 30+ y.o woman's soul in a baby's body (in the novel). She learned from her past mistakes, therefore she could change her life and protects those she cares.
She is never arrogant. She is intelligent and independent. She doesn't want to rely on men and become someone who only obeys. This makes her different from other women and also the reason why there are FIVE men want to marry her (in the novel).
During that era, being a woman is hard. The novel author wanted to highlight this by creating Dou Zhao, and the drama writer successfully shown different women in different situations in the drama.
Why do the main leads have two different names people get switching between? It's already so hard to remember…
In the drama you will notice the men have 2 names: birth name and courtesy name. Courtesy name is an additional name bestowed upon individuals at adulthood, complementing their given name. It is a marker of adulthood and were historically given to men at the age of 20, and sometimes to women upon marriage.
Song Mo, courtesy name: Song Yantang. Ji Yong, courtesy name: Ji Jianming. Wu Shan, courtesy name: Wu Dezhen. Wei Tingyu, courtesy name: Wei Peijin. Song Han, courtesy name: Song Muyu. And so on.
After a man gets his courtesy name, people will call him with it, not his birth name, bcos it will be considered rude.
Shougu is NOT a courtesy name. It is Dou Zhao's nickname she got since she was a kid.
How to get your girl by woo-ing her dad, Song Mo version:1. Get someone to send an explosive to his carriage on…
That explosive is not done hy Song Mo, but from Earl Haichang. It is explained after Song Mo sent Dou Shiying home. Although in the novel, Song Mo really did something to the horse to appear as a hero, but he didn't send Dou Shiying home.
If you see the airing calendar/schedule, see the icon on the first episode and the last episode. only the bamboo…
The same icons (bamboo flute and sword), yet only the flute is rotten (dead). The meaning is so obvious.
The ending of LiP had already been spoiled in Red Moon Pact, and basically people already know the ending for LiP, whether from the donghua or from Red Moon Pact.
How the romance ending? Any steamy scenes or anything?
NOPE. Like I said, the novel only has subtle romance, although Zong Hang is so head over heels for Yi Sa. There is only one kiss at the end. It has happy ending. After the final battle, she disappeared, and after a year he found her, asking to marry him š¤
