Different people, different taste. My mom, her friend and her friend's husband all said Chen Yuqi is great in acting. Just like when I think 2 of the super popular actresses's acting are terrible no matter how people praise them. It means I have different taste with them. That simple. The difference is I don't mock them, I stay away.

Let's pray that Chen Yuqi will gain weight bcos apparently international viewers are so bothered with her eyes that have puffy eyebags which appear when she is tired or when she loses weight. Sadly in China they prefer super skinny girls. So Chen Yuqi has to follow the beauty standards in China. Compared to when she filmed TLLTM and ATWIL where she was chubby and cute.

It has been more than a year and a half but the staff never released anything. Every time there is a festival, I hope to see a poster or teaser, but nothing. I once saw that this drama has obtained distribution license long ago. Strawbear isn't a small PH, so what happened? They filmed this drama in secret and then put it on the shelves?

Dozens of dramas have finished filming years ago, but still have no news about airing dates nor even teasers and posters, some of them are on my list as well. Those dramas from 2017-2018 finally able to air 4-5 years later.

It has nothing to do with Chen Yuqi. This drama is the third collaboration between Chen Yuqi, the director and Strawbear. Just like when she was casted in Cheng Yi's new drama bcos it is produced by Strawbear. Her previous 2 dramas by Strawbear (UL and NGU) were released one after another, and her Republican drama (TI) was released right after that.

The staff NEVER released anything from booting ceremony, bts video, cast list, closing ceremony, or teaser after they wrapped filming, not even an official poster. Nothing.

Xu Jiaqi and Wei Zheming's Echo in Your Heart was filmed more than 2 years ago, but there is no news about it. Can we say it is the fault of either Xu Jiaqi or Wei Zheming? No.

Chen Yuqi has been getting scripts bcos of her performances since UL, but she is very selective and she said she wants to do more modern dramas and villain roles (which she got twice as guest roles).

The novel is really good. However bcos the ML has several concubines, FL has to deal with them and help the ML to get rid of them once they have no use to him. ML married them not bcos he is lustful, but they were offered to him to curry favor.

The novel is a battle of wit between FL and ML bcos they don't trust each other, they are using each other. It's like snake vs fox.

The setting is during Three Kingdoms. FL is from Zhao, ML is from Wei. FL helps ML with his plans while protecting her brother who lives in Zhao. ML is deeply in love with the FL, but until he fulfills his goals, it is hard for them to live in peace.

The novel has comedy, suspense, political and tragedy. It hurts so bad especially from midway to the end. FL has a huge secret that ML doesn't know about. But when the cp is harmonious, they are so sweet. The cp is very mature bcos they discuss about everything.

One reminder, so far I can assume the drama is about 80% different from the novel. Especially with some original characters.

Love For Each Other? That's another lazy naming. There are hundreds of cdramas that have "love" in the titles. I prefer the literal translation. I saw wetv macau used the name Peach Blossoms for The World. It's better.

After 3 months of filming they finally released some materials! Usually they would release official first poster, character posters or bts costume fitting on the first day of filming or soon after they start filming. The more materials they release the better as it will help boost the popularity of the drama. I hope the staff will treat this drama and the actors better as there is only a month left of filming.

I'm fond of Xin Yunlai after Legend of Shen Li. After watching the teaser, I found out that the veteran Wang Yan and my fav lady, Li Sheng are here as well! I miss Li Sheng so much! I will keep it on my list just for these three 😭

Somehow I'm thinking that the girl isn't their daughter. In the novel they have a son, and this son is what makes Dou Zhao's position solid. During the coup, Song He is just 3 y.o. So seeing that girl in the pic is so big, looks about 8-9 y.o, the age isn't correct. I'm guessing that girl is the daughter of Dou Zhao's in law's (surname Guo). Other possibility is that girl is the naughty daughter from Song family, born from the third master.

In the teaser, there is a young Dou Zhao. Seems like they will start from her in teen. But for the rebirth, perhaps it will be changed into "she dreams of her future then when she wakes up, they don't happen yet, but she remembers everything?" You know, like deja vu.

There are about a hundred characters in the novel. The age of the characters change significantly as the story goes. These are the age written in the novel. You can just calculate the exact number based on Dou Zhao's age:

1. Dou Zhao first met Bie sisters when she was 12. Su Xin was 15, Su Lan was 12.
2. Dou Ming is 3 years younger than Dou Zhao.
3. When Dou Zhao first met Song Mo, she was 14, Song Mo was 13.
4. Song Han is 3 years younger than Song Mo and he gets married at 14.
5. Dou Zhao is 17 and Song Mo is 16 when they get married.
6. Dou Ming gets married at 14 y.o.
7. Wei Tingyu is 3 years older than Dou Zhao and he gets married at 20.
8. Ji Yong is 2 years older than Dou Zhao.
9. Gu Yu is a few months younger than Song Mo.
10. Miao Ansu is 14 (appeared after ZhaoMo got married).
11. Chen Jia is 24 y.o (appeared after ZhaoMo got married)
12. Jiang Yan is 14 y.o (appeared after ZhaoMo got married)
13. Wu Shan is 1 year older than Dou Zhao.

I know back then girls married at young age. But it is creepy thinking that 13 was a marriageable age! Imagine them get married at 14 and they are expected to give birth in a year!

Indeed! Song Mo is described as a very handsome man, with delicate features, gentle, slim, graceful, with a smile like warm spring. This is exactly Li Yunrui. Wu Lei on the other hand has a manly and wolf like features, so he doesn't fit in.

Dou Zhao is described as a very beautiful girl with heroic look, calm and dignified. Meng Ziyi is experienced either as the merciless and cold characters or the gentle and elegant lady.

The fact that Dou Zhao is a year older than Song Mo is also interesting trivia since in real life the leads also have 1 year age gap.

Perhaps it's just me, but I dislike Yaya x Aolai pairing the most. I keep seeing them as an uncle who is trying to coax his 5 y.o niece. The niece is so naughty and impulsive, so the uncle has to patiently discipline her with sweet words and candy, so she can understand the outside world and what mature people are thinking.

Xia and Weisheng pairing is so abrupt. Their story is rushed. Suddenly they are deeply in love, willing to die. What?

The amnesia plot is so awful. Their love is already stagnant even when he tries hard to move forward. The amnesia makes it back to square one. They keep on walking in the same spot. So annoying.

I realized that Li Zhiting and Li Yunrui look very much alike. Li Yunrui is the delicate and gentle one, Li Zhiting is the mature and masculine one. I've known Li Zhiting since long, but I realized this after I rewatched Legend of Two Sisters in The Chaos (Li Zhiting, Meng Ziyi). As I was watching I kept thinking "I see Li Yunrui in him".

Mei Li started as this lively, adorable, free spirited girl. But bcos there is not a single happy thing comes to her ever since she came to the capital, her character changed drastically. Especially bcos the man treats her like that. But she still tries her best to live and endure. She helps ML when he is in trouble, and protects her son so he won't be bullied by first wife and her mother in law.

So rather than saying she is kindhearted, just say she endures to survive. People who watched it complained that they don't like how FL changed and wanted her to be lively again. While I wished she could marry Yong He instead.

Her agency is a very small agency. There are only a very few artists under it. It is hard for her to get a role. As far as I know, her latest project was starring in Kim Myungsoo/L's Japanese single MV.

The novel focuses more on political issues bcos it is set during Three Kingdoms era. After some palace intrigues, Wei Kingdom goes to war against Wu and Zhao. However, sometimes the FL has to deal with the ML's concubines. With her help, ML can get rid of them one by one to move forward with his goals.

Bcos FL is from Zhao, it is natural for her to stand against ML.
