My favourite support role is Wen Ning. He tugs at my heartstrings. I always find myself praying for his safety and that he won't get hurt. He's already been through so much. I'm glad I let myself be patient and finally completed it.

I can tell you that (in my opinion) episodes 25 - 27 are the ones that will sell you into watching more. I think…
Thank you :)

If you haven't already given up yet, I want to ask what usually hooks you in a drama?
We're similar. First time is really odd. I don't read manhua or manga, though. I read books like Dan Brown and Nicholas Sparks but never have access to physical and digital comics. And living in the countryside, it's hard to find books such as this. Anyway, I'm on episode 22 and I'm starting to get into TU. WWX character is progressing as well as the others, and the story has begun to develop into something I'm interested in.

I appreciate you saying I'm resilient. I'm trying to be in this drama because I'm new to Chinese historical fantasy dramas such as this so maybe my mind is not opened yet. I'm just glad for the assurance that WWX is likeable throughout the show because it helps me hold on and be accepting of this new journey I'm taking. I'm watching a lot of Korean and Japanese dramas but haven't yet delved into this kind of Chinese storytelling and martial arts. This could be a new addiction if I'm patient enough and really complete TU.

Thank you for explaining well. I will have to search for what etheral and feerique mean to add to my vocabulary. As for the fight scenes, I find them funny maybe because I'm not used to watching Chinese historical tale dramas. I'm used to Jackie Chan style martial arts that's too fast to keep up lol. Maybe it needs getting used to and by then, I'd learn to appreciate it.

There are some. I find it hard for me to effectively explain and communicate the things which don't meet my taste in tv shows because I lack the vocabulary. English is not my first language. I don't intend to just throw in words which sound rude to the fans just because I couldn't find the appropriate word to use. Just like when I agreed to use the word 'comical' to describe TU, and one user mentioned 'theatrical' is the right word. I realized I must have meant threatrical. All I know for sure is that I find the actors very acty sometimes, like acting with big moves. During fight scenes, everyone is flying around and had to turn around often to do one thing. Again, I apologize if I didn't deliver myself clearly or if I offended the fans with my lack of words.

Many things can but it truly depends on the acting skills and how the story is being told. There can be really amazing stories but fail to hook me when how it's being laid out is not executed well. Moreover, it's the director's skill that can convince me. Also, the protagonist should be someone I can root for throughout. Whenever I start to dislike the main character, that's when the drama becomes worth dropping. I'm still watching The Untamed. Wei Wu Xian is keeping me from dropping it completely.

Awww... that's how I felt when I finished Mr. Queen.

Now, in episode 12 and I'm jealous of the people who are at the point where the drama hooked them. I'm still not there and I'm waiting... But I like Wei Wu Xian, that's for sure. Please please please...Update: Episode 16-21 are the turning point for me. Episode 32 and I'm cursing everyone. Hypocrites! My heart breaks...

I watched this when it was currently airing so I didn't really feel it was boring. Binge-watching can make me bored sometimes especially if the show is slow-paced. I enjoyed my weekling viewing of this, though. All the waiting and praying that Kim Geun would end up with her and it really happened, I was satisfied. The CGI, though, was ridiculous.

I'm like you on this. I can tell you I'm currently on episode 23 and I still don't see what's so great about this.…
That's the word! Comical. I will continue maybe until episode 15 because all the comments on my feed told me it will get better. If I still couldn't get hooked, maybe I'll trust my opinion. After all, we have different tastes. I have not lost hope yet because dropping a drama is somewhat painful, too.

Yes, I love the Innocent Man because of Moon Chae Won and SJK. Rewatched it thrice. Although, I have not seen the one you mentioned with Lee Joon Gi in it. I'll hold on to The Untamed probably until episode 15 because all the comments here found this drama worth the time. Thanks a lot.

I'm on episode 2 and I'm thinking of dropping. The acting looks awkward or so acty to me. Not sure if I could get through another episode.

I was bored. I thought I'd like it because it started calmly, as in countryside feels. But halfway through, I was just yawning.

I did not expect this to be dramatic and well-written, even though it's based on a true story. I enjoyed this very much.

Probably it was just subconcious jealousy and insecurity, and a bit of childish attitude.
I haven't read the manga, though. Usually, Filipino dramas often use jealousy as cute and lovable. This is what I also notice in Japanese dramas and anime. Although it also hints insecurity of the fact that someone spent more time with the person you love, and it's a female. Yes, it's immature.
