The drama is such a cliché. Bullying, rich people and their high horses, poor people being oppressed, manipulation, adultery, etc. Very typical of K-damas of the same genre. The most annoying thing, though, is that no one is likeable in this show. Oh, there was one, but they killed her off as quick as episode 1. Unexpectedly, this drama made me annoyed and bored at the same time.

I've just finished the case which involved 3 innocent kids. It was good but I decided to drop this drama at ep.6 because I learned about the replacement actor. Had to save myself from the coming disappointment. At least I was able to see the conclusion of the said case. I could tell myself I kind of finished it. lol

You're right. And IMDB rates it 7/10. Not so much difference with MDL. At least for me.

This goes to show that more people did not find it as good as the other shows. We have different tastes. But in this case, people rated the show as to how they feel, think and see it. No matter how others think so highly of it. Anyway, I dropped it because it just couldn't get me hooked even though I love Jo Seung Woo to bits.

The best way to decide is to watch a few episodes so you can develop an opinion based on your own tastes. But I'm not even going to delve into Chinese historical dramas again. I watched about 5 Chinese historical dramas and I dropped them all. Not my cup of tea. Although, some other genres would be fine. I like the Chinese version of Absolute Boyfriend so much.

I heard about how strict schools in Korea are but are they really as ridiculous as how it's featured in this drama? I think this is so over the top that even the teachers and school board are losers. Turn off.

Even though the CGI is sometimes funny, like in ep 3, I'm still enjoying this so far. Jo Seung Woo can't pick weak storylines, can he? I love all the dramas he starred so far. And Park Shin Hye is doing her own stunts - that's applaudable, isn't it?

Lol 25 minutes of ep 3 and I can't stop laughing. The editing of PSH and JSW's action scenes look like they're paper dolls sliding and flying with the wind, so funny. I like it???? haha

Sshh... the ending was well thought out because it all came together. To me, that ending will never be forgotten. Anyway, I'm still doubtful about starting Baek Soo Hyang because of the main female lead. I had watched a drama a few years ago starring her and I dropped not because the show was bad but because she annoyed me. But maybe I should watch a few episodes of Daughter BSH just to see how my biased feelings go. Lol. I'll let you know. I hope I'd thank you for the push soon.

Yeah, I decided to drop it and maybe get back to it sometime in the future. By then, maybe I'd be in a different mood and would like it. Like when I dropped the US show The Good Place after 3 episodes, and got back to it after a year. I yearned for it when I finally completed the show; especially Jason. Bortles! And Tahani. I agree. Have you seen Queen Seon Duk, though? She is one badass woman. I bet that empty spot would be filled. However, the ending would surely leave that spot emptier... lol

Goblin was meh, as well as The King. Bleh. To me, Jewel in the Palace, Queen Seon Duk, Horse Doctor and The Princess Man are more like masterpieces than Empress Ki. I was really hoping I would like it but 16 episodes passed and huhuhu...

She's versatile. Impressive. So much better than those who appeared badass but used a stuntman, then getting the praises that the stuntman deserved. Doing stunts is not easy work and actors who do it their own should be applauded, not criticized. Hey that's dangerous work, man.
