I saw few Japanese thrillers; I don't know if you have seen M.W but it's a good one. Not impressive but good.
I like gangsters movies but I prefer them Japanese instead that's why I seriously cannot wait for Crows Explode and Mole's Song. I've seen A Dirty Carnival but I didn't really like it, as for Nameless Gangster I plan to watch it along with Bandage; both of them were recommended to me as a whole :D
What do you mean by "13 Assassins remake"; as far as I know it wasn't remade. Maybe you mean Harakiri?
If they excluded the music and dancing; I would've thought of this as another Crows Zero, that movie was so cool.

You saw the first season? If you did then how can you resist not to watch the second? I can never do that.
Anyway, I only saw the first episode and even though I really don't like the addition of romance I think they will do it at some point but not between Komikado and Mayuzumi but between the latter and Okada Masaki's character. I feel it's coming.

You don't need to worry about Dior, I wish you mucky with your studies (:
Yes, you should give it a go but I recommend Ice World before that one. It's better in my opinion especially for mysteries lover as yourself.
I started Legal High and a Korean crime investigation drama. This season, I think we have only Kuroukochi available for our tastes.
I see, at any rate if you find some good Wuxia that's worth watching, let me know about it and I will make sure to watch it very soon.

I am the same as you, I watch a lot of Korean dramas but at the end of the day; I am Japanese dramas fan. As you said, Koreans can't go in depth the way Japanese did and the fact that I don't like rom-com and melodramas make Kdramas fall behind for me.
I also love crime/mystery movies especially the thrillers. Koreans and HKC do that so well. Have you seen a great movie that's worth mentioning?
Yes, Miike's Harakiri is a remake but I have yet to see that in order to judge both movies together. You've seen that one?
Don't remind me of Ai to Makoto; I watched it because of Satoshi, Ihara, Sakura and the fact that Miike is the dorector or I wouldn't last through it :D

I have Memories of a Murder, I Saw The Devil, Sympathy for Mr.Vengence and Sympathy for Lady Vengence on my top priority list. I am in the mood for Korean thrillers these days. Have you seen the movies I mentioned?

Hawick Lau is awesome in that drama; I don't know about his real life though. The actress (Ying Er)on the other hand is horrible. Do you watch a lot of HKC dramas?

Yes, A Sleeping Forest and Ice World have the same dark mysterious atmosphere in them but the Suspense in Ice World was better. I liked IW better but if you liked it then I am sure you will also enjoy A Sleeping Forest.
Yes, Kimmy is one my favourite actors but life dramas aren't actually my thing so I will pass Nankyoku Tairiku; it doesn't seem like a drama I will appreciate. Some friends were bugging me to watch his romance dramas too but I am really not willing to watch pure romantic dramas even for Kimmy. He has an important half of his works where romance isn't involved.

The dubbing is actually because of the differences in the language. There's standard Chinese, Cantanose as well as Taiwanese so they need to dub most of Hong Kong dramas to Mandarin since it's the most spoken language in mainland but for me who don't speak any of them, I dislike dubbing but at the same time I really hate hearing the Cantanose language so dubbing it to Mandarin is okay and not okay at the same time. I just wish all of them would speak Mandarin and get it over with.
Yes, that's exactly how it goes in Biblia; every book brings a certain mystery with it so if you like books, I am sure you're going to love this.
You haven't managed to start anything new?

Thank you for the add and the compliments, it's nice to meet you (:
Minoru may seem like a non-familiar face compared to his other fellow old J-actors but I appreciate him more than half of them. He's really an awesome actor with amazing on-screen presence.
Mifune is certainly a legend; I don't know how can anyone get to know the real Japanese cinema without knowing him or Akira Kurosawa. It's just unthinkable.

I didn't actually care about the ending or anything else; all what I wanted to do is finish that drama already; it was bad in my opinion.
That's because I know that I will hate them; the genres and the general feels of those dramas/movies push me away.
I don't find this bad news at all. Anyone who did something illegal should be punished by law; that's about it.
I am taking my leave from this conversation but let me finish with one thing: I don't believe that law is perfect by any mean but no one should be above it.
