Thank yoou for the friend request and the compliments (:

The main reason is because those dramas feel really off for me. I am also avoiding romantic comedies and touchy stories. I hope that answers you question.

I do have my eyes on the dramas you mentioned and some day in the near future, I will gather enough courage to start my first Taiga drama. Wish me luck!

Taiwan is known of dragging that's why I gave up on her dramas at some point. But after Love Around and Just You, I will clearly remember not to watch any TW drama with the genre "rom-com".

People who watched both versions told me that Maou is more fast paced compared to The Devil and I am very impatient.

Yup, I was reading its synopsis the other day and it does seem like an interesting drama even for me who don't like reading books very much. Maybe we should start it together some time in the future?

I can understand how you feel about Kdramas and they do tend to be emmotional. But if you change your mind let me know, I will recommend you some good ones.

Only Sad Love Song managed to bring the tears in my eyes in the last episode but that's because I saw it when I was younger (about 7 years ago) but ever since then, no drama managed to make me cry.

There's no need to force yourself, being a melodrama person isn't a bad thing after all. I have a friend who's exactly like you but she only saw a couple of dramas.

As much as I love revenge plots, I really can't stand long dramas. They give me headaches and I am known to be an impatient person. However, from your recommendations, I will certainly pick Five Fingers. It seems like a good revenge.

Yes that was some kind of trick to make you back on track and obviously I did well *proud*

You know me, I don't start a currently airing drama ever since the first or the second week. I have to wait few weeks then catch up so that I won't be so impatient and hate the drama as a whole.

I will do it later, you know how lazy I am :p

The Chaser is really good. You should give it a go and it has the same writer as "Golden Empire" so yeah, you should really watch this.

Both Orange Days and The Queen's Classroom are on my list but I am a bit skeptical about the first because I am trying to avoid touchy romantic dramas. However, I will get down to it one day when I am in the right mood. Plus, it has a nice set of actors that I like.

The Chaser was really good compared to other 2012 Korean dramas and it's a fact that dramas who get local sucess can hardly get international sucess and vise versa. Take Hanzawa Naoki as a proof, it become the highest rated drama in modern time in Japan while it's not even known internationally. That's why I decided to trust Japanese people with ratings. Have you heard of that drama?

I haven't seen you comment (probably because my feed is a mile long) but tell me what you think when you believe things can be judged.

Are you only watching Golden Empire?

Yes, GTO is really popular and quite interesting. Even the 2012 version seems to be good.

I am afraid I am not familiar with the guy or his productions. I had to google the film you told me about (do I sound like I am from the ice age?). He's Thai right? Anyway, I am really glad that you got the chance to meet and work with one of your important figures.

I am sure four episodes aresn't enough to judge the drama but I saw your comment in the feed and I thought you began to dislike it. Let me know how things progress with you.

You don't know how much I want to watch Japanese period dramas considering the fact that I love Jdramas but it's too sad that they're not available.

The extension killed Love Around for me; I am pushing myself to finish this one as well as Just You. I should really distance myself from romantic comedies. What about you? Do you happpen to like it?

I watched Maou so I find it very hard to watch "The Devil". Let me know what you think about the two versions once you finish them.

This was unexpectedly good! I just love it when I don't expect anything from a movie and it surprises me in a good way.

Yes, I do since I try to be objective with my ratings. Usually 8 and above are the dramas that delievered the subjective and objective satisfaction.

I do expect Ooku to be quite mature; it's also my second period Japanese drama; Yusha Yoshihiko being the first (I don't know if that counts). What are the other dramas you're following?

Tu es forcé de m'écouter Moon parce que c'est mon nature et après tout; tu n'es pas le genre qui haine les sarcasmes :p Pour la dernière fois, je ne suis pas un Otaku!

Comment vont tes séries?

I know how you feel about Two Weeks; I found it full of flaws too and I am into a fight whether to change the rating to 6 or leave it at 7. The Chaser is without doubt much better. I had a fight between 8 and 9.

Yes, he's really awesome in that role. I guess that's what made people get to know him. Is Ooku good? I have it on my top priorities but I intend to go easy with his dramas so that I won't finish all of them in a short period :D

Ah I see, you're one of those people who want happy endings and happy endings only.

Oh, you recently completed Maou?

Any time (:

My most hated genre would be tragic melodramas after Horror. And yes, you can say that I came to dislike them lately (as a year ago) since they fail to move me, I mean what's the point of watching a melo if it doesn't move you? I am ice queen so I don't cry; actually, I end up laughing when someone cries because of a drama/movie in front of me.

I watched the oldies before I became addicted or I would never gave them a try. You can say that my taste changed a lot through my journey in dramaland. I used to like romantic comedies but now, I avoid them as a plague and if I watch them, they never get a high score from me.

I still watch melos btw, only NOT the tragic one. That's why I will give Secrets a try soon because I heart revenge stories even of they're melodramas.

Yes go for it Dior; I know you would appreciate these types of dramas. I am sure you will like it more than Namonaki Doku. But what do you mean there was no mystery? You already watched Karamazov no Kyoudai, right?

I will do that pretty soon. It's just that I have a hard time to watch a movie when I am in dramas' mood. Yes, I need dramas' mood and movies' mood :D

Yup, you're right. No dramas can be as intense as Japanese dramas, I saw couple Korean dramas that are focused on some action and suspense and they didn't reach the Japanese level. However, there some good ones if you're ready to give them a go.

Don't worry about it (:

Great Teacher Onizuka is a school drama for sure; I thought you don't like those. As for others, I am afraid I haven't seen any of them to give you a proper opinion about them.

That's interesting. Out of all four important elements you mentioned, I can ovelook the cinematography occasionally especially in dramas.
And I am glad that you get to work you want. Best wishes Pretty^^

How's Golden Empire treating you?
