My personal thoughts about Koreeda directing style aren't as vast, I only saw two of his pictures. It's probably because the slice of life share that he's so fond of directing doesn't fall under my field of interests. However, Air Doll definitely got me tripping.

I made few of my friends drama watchers (not addicts) and I kind of regret it because they can be pushovers and I always liked watching my dramas alone. Let's not forget that all of them are either rom-com or melo lovers which is not my thing at all.

It doesn't take a genius to know that Koreans love their makjangs so they will obviously get the better share of the ratings' cake.
That aside, OCN is most definitely my favourite Korean channel, I love my dramas romance free and extra focused on crime thriller material. OCN does the trick for me and no other channel can compete with its excellent execution when it comes to those specific genres. It gets a plus point for being cable; it has more freedom than the traditional big three channels.

Go for it Micks, 9 episodes was the right length for a great drama like this one.

I have to start with a shorter anime to see if it will pick my interest first. But you're right, there are too much to pick from!

Yeah, I definitely noticed that which made me remember sports' anime. I never watched a baseball oriented anime but I have to pick one soon. This left me thirsty for some baseball :D

I never gave the US remake any attention. We all know of the US history of remaking anything Asian.
