I really don't like these types of films but it's Zhang Yimmou's return film so I won't miss it for the world. Gong Li is the leading lady as well, this has got to be good!
She needs acting lessons or something. If it wasn't for Hawick Lau in Sealed with a kiss who held her performance a bit, it would've been a walking disaster. Oh wait, it was!

The shooting system in Japan is just fine this way, at least way better than the Korean system. Like samsoons mentioned, the live-shooting system in Korea messes many things up. The writer is forced to change their original screenplay and they have to follow the ratings; the production values change frequently. At least in Japan, ratings don't change the writer's concept and it doesn't cut or extend episodes.

Kim Sang Joong ahjussi as the leader of the naughty boys? This is going to be so awesome! This is such a different approach for detective dramas, nothing less from OCN.
Jang Hyuk is one fine actor unlike those idols playing around. I mainly saw him in films but he also impressed me with some dramas' performances such as his action ability in IRIS 2.
I will surely watch more of his dramas in the future. I will also watch Fated to Love You for his and Jang Nara's sakes, I hope he's doing fine in there.
I only know TOP's character from IRIS and you're right, I seriously didn't dislike the guy.
