My resolve of not dropping dramas is always tested especially in 2013 so this year; I decided to be extra careful with the drama I pick. The proof is: I still didn't start any drama produced in 2014.
Yes, I am also encouraged by the fact that he became more known lately so his drama will get enough attention (:
And speaking of Joo Sang Wook, he's one of my favorite actors and I partially watched Thorn Birds for his sake whee he was almost the only good thing in it. I am a little displeased that he picked a rom-com as his next project. I was already pissed that I couldn't watch him in Good Doctor since Medical dramas are a "never" and now it's a rom-com! I can tolerate the latter a little so I will end up watching it eventually for his sake but at least, I hope that the plot would be interesting. I am angry at OCN for not doing a third season of TEN where I enjoy seeing him the most.
The ending of Ai Nante Irane Yo, Natsu is indeed clearer and better than both the movie and the drama. I always considered TWTWB ending a happy one anyway.

Yes, that's the one! Actually all John Woo's films are personal favorites; the HK ones of course. Do you like his work?
I dislike slice of life/artistic films the most but sometimes I watch them on a whim and I enjoy them. My latest experience was "Air Doll", it was simply amazing. Have you hear of it? I believe it's your cup of tea.
3 idiots was amazing! You only saw few Bollywood movies? Which one are those?
Btw, I watched Love Fiction and I found it good enough especially for someone like me who doesn't really have enough tolerance for romantic comedies. I am also glad I saw Ha Jung Woo in that type of role, he was great as usual. Did you mention that he had romantic movies that you liked?

I will let you know when I start watching MFTS; I have to finish off an old drama first. I am mainly starting MFTS because of the female lead though not the male lead.
Great choice! You know there are good actors and great actor and Arata is absolutely one of the greatest ones. It's a shame that people only got to know him through Rich Man Poor Woman which wasn't one of his best roles in my opinion.
Real actors like Arata deserve all the respect and more attention from the international audience.
I like her; she's pretty good but I am always confused between her and Crystal Liu; they look alike, they have the same last name and they're born in the same year: confusing as heck!
Yes absolutely! I was even surprised at people who thought that CB had a chance. He was obviously a second male lead material that was used to make Trash and Na Jong get together but he also got his chance of character development which I really loved. Na Jong on the other hand, didn't get too much character development like the others. I don't know if you agree with me. I am not talking about her relationship with Trash but I am speaking about her career and her dreams. I wanted more of that side but the writers almost made her whole ambition center around Trash except for the three or four last episodes perhaps.
Reply 1997 is fast paced compared to R.1994 but it's really worth the try. It got a mature part as well but Na Jong was less annoying than the female lead in R. 1997 in my book.

You know what? I woke up in the middle of the night and I can't sleep so I rewatched "The Killer" and wrote a review about it, now I will watch two episodes of the dramas I am watching and if I am still not in the mood for sleeping, I will watch "Love Fiction" so if things got the way I plan to, I will let you know about it tomorrow :D
I also dislike arrogant jerks but nice guys aren't off limits. It's great to see a change in the typical male leads characters' writing.
I watched almost every genre out there but I never saw a Filipino film and I don't think I ever plan to. As for Thai films, I only saw three or four of them but they wer martial arts related. Since I watch their dramas from time to time, I will eventually watch their other films as well but from what I heard, their most popular genre is horror. They can do it so well. As for Bollywood, I used to watch them all the time, my list is large; I evne saw countless of their old classics. I stopped watching for about a year and now, I am back on track even slowly.
How's Maou treating you? Are you almost done with it?

Miss Rose as interesing for 8 episodes I suppose and the other 17 episodes were pure torture. I suffered a lot to finish that one!
I don't care if it's wild or uninteresting; I will most definitely watch it for Sakai's sake. How am I supposed to be a good fan if I don't do that? :D Also, I have faith in his choices. All what I am asking for is subbers!
The Japanese version is older and quite enjoyable. Of course, the Korean version is prettier and better at visuals because, after all, that's what Korean remakes are good at. Also, there isn't too much skinship like in the Korean version so far (which makes me a little disappointed) but that makes the drama more realistic instead of the dreamy effect from the Korean one. Hirosue Ryoko and Watbe pairing up for this is also great.
The male lead from "President"? I am afraid I never seen him in anything before but as for crushing over older actors, I do that all the time! I always crush over 40+ actors :D They have their own charm, don't you think?

I made pretty bad choices last yar because I was quite open with my choices. Now, I am back to my usual picky self and I won't repeat the same mistake again. The proof: I still didn't watch any drama produced in 2014.
I will eventually watch Friend the movie because it's a classic but as for drama, I will take Japanese fighting dramas over Koreans any day. They're masters at making them unlike Koreans.
Let me tell you this, if you expect Nao to change then you probably shouldn't watch the rest. But if you accept the fact that she will always be herself then the rest of the ride is really a joy.
I clearly remember Pride, it was the drama that introduced Kimmy to me and I am still in love until now. I find it quite similar to Buzzer Beat. Have you seen it?
Han Hye Ji was one of the first Korean actresses I ever knew and she still holds that special place within me.
I just hope she will pick up more interesting roles in the future so that I will be able to follow her career.

I also heard about Office Girls but those types of dramas are a big no for me. I had troubles finishing Miss Rose, one of the fewest dramas that I ever put on hold.
Ayano is getting too much recognition these couple of years, not only dramas but he got several movies going on. I am glad he got his chance to shine. Oh, and A new role for Sakai? What is it about?
Ai Nante Irane Yo, Natsu is the original Japanese version of "That Winter The Wind Blows" if you ever heard about it. I am watching it without subtitles and I manage to understand most of it to the point that I am very proud of myself. I never thought that I would be able to watch a drama without subtitles and understand most of it. I think part of it goes to the fact that I already know the stroy.
The other drama is "Keizoku", a somewhat typical Japanese detective drama only older.
Strange enough, Watabe is the main lead for both dramas o_O I didn't even notice that when I picked them. I have a sincere crush on that man and I don't even care that he's an old man :D

I see that you already have a side to cheer for. It wasn't far worse for us who were watching it while it was still airing. I liked both Trash and ChilBong so I didn't pick a team but by episode 10 I was already certain that she will end up with Trash so the rest wasn't a surprise like many people thought it was. I was bothered by the writers trolling at some point but I do agree that the shipping wars ruined some of the pleasure for me.
Have you seen R. 1997? Which one do you think is better?

I am also most definitely going to watch Love Fiction but I have to be in the right mood. If you happen to watch it before me, tell me how you found it.
You like Shy male leads? I am more into straightforward kick ass male leads instead or intelligent male leads. Shy and jerk male leads aren't my cup of tea :D
I am glad you're liking Maou, I am pretty sure that those who really loved the Japanese version won't like the Korean version very much.
You can't be a mixed bag more than me! I watch old samurai films then a Martial Arts film then a Thriller and sometimes I end the journey with a lavish Bollywood film :D
Have you seen a violent Thriller recently?

Okay, Kurosawa films aren't enough :D I picked Inagaki's trilogy but there's my beloved Toshiro in it so we're all cool. I watched the first part yesterday and I will pick up the rest in one or two weeks.
I will learn Japanese one day but not until I am done with studies, they can be so consuming!
It was alright, not great but fine. Now, I picked up Keirzoku and Ai Nante Iranai, Natsu. You can conclude in what phase I am!

I've been great, thanks for asking. I am just watching dramas and films as usual. I see you're watching Reply 1994, how is it treating you? Oh, and are you back to dramaland for good or it's just another phase?

To conclude my takeshi phase, I watched his sci-fi action film "The Returner". Now I need to lay back for a while :D
About Nisennen no Koi, I wouldn't recommend it. Have you read my review? I don't think it's that great of a choice for people who aren't interest in romance. It would suit people who like romantic dramas.
You couldn't finish Byakuyajo before? I found that drama wrong and its character very hateful but I still loved it. Have you finished it yet?
As for the dramas I am watching, I am seeing two older Jdramas at the moment; one from 1999 and the other from 2002 and both of them have Watabe as the male lead. Crap, I think I am having Watabe phase now and he's an old man :D
Don't worry about it, I am almost always in that kind of phase but then, I have to get up (:

I also find it hard to believe that a Taiwanese drama would go to the length of 33 episodes. The longest one I saw was "It Started with a Kiss" and it had 30 episodes.
I am still waiting for Gunshi Kanbei to be subbed but gladly Ayano Go's drama is getting subbed but I am not sure if the subbers are reliable or not, I will have to wait few more episodes to make sure. In the meantime, I am watching two older Japanese dramas. One from 1999 and the other from 2002. I am leaning towards older Jdramas these days :D
