Oh, I noticed that you have been away. So now, you're back for good? And thanks for the wishes; late greetings to you as well (:
What do you mean by "different"? Maybe I can help if you don't mind classics of course. Funny you mention that, it's been almost a week that I saw Goemon and completely loved it so I downloaded Casshern right away but I still haven't seen it yet.
I was rewatching few old Hong Kong/Chinese movies lately and adding them back again to my list because I forgot many of them. I missed my DVD collection so badly. I also saw A Bittersweet Life and Lady Vengeance from the Korean side; both of them were really great!
You mean Takeshi? That was the bias of the last week; I was rewatching many of his movies :D

The movie's title is: Into the White Night. I still haven't seen it yet but I will once I am in the right mood.
LOL! I can also see why people would love it. It was off limits for me.
Oh, you're waching Unfair? How do you like it? It's on my super long "detective dramas to watch" list.

I am not naughty, I will insist on it until it becomes true :p
I will be back but not now, maybe few other weeks? :D I will be back anyway so don't worry about it.
I am glad I could help Mickey but after all, all the dramas you watch are chosen by "oresama" that's why you should always be grateful to me and stop calling me evil and bad :p
And no, you can't take back what you said after you made me cry Bwahahaha

For me, Yamapi is an eyecandy alright but he seriously suck as an actor. Kitagawa is also good looking but not very great as an actress but at least, she's still better than Yamapi. God I am looking forward to her movie with my beloved Satoshi.
For me, the only dramas that are getting my interest beside the detective Japanese dramas and the taiga drama of this year are: Man From the Stars for JJH's sake only, Inspiring Generation for the theme and the dark years of the Korean history that I love so much but I am scared with the choice of main actors and finally the upcoming melodrama: Beyond the Clouds, I am not melodramas' person but I can tolerate them better than romantic comedies. The concept of the drama attracted me and let's not forget the female lead who's a special actress to me. The rest is a no especially the romantic comedies.
Are you only watching Pride and INR3 at the moment?

Thorn Birds was a melodrama with all the meanings of the word but it wasn't exactly a makjang or tragic.
I would also love that he switches for movies because I think we all agree that the greatest actors out there are movies' star. Don't you agree?
Not only the ghost drama but Dr. Frost and Vampire Prosecutor spinoff. I am mad actually, I wanted a third season not a spinoff.
Also, have you heard of Oguri's upcoming ghost drama? It looks like a copy from the Ghost seeing detective but we all know that they won't be the same.
Not at all, the ending was a clear happy ending :D

The old drama I am currently watching is Keizoku. Not the SPEC one, it's the original Keizoku. A detective drama.

John Woo is one of my favorite directors ever! Most of his movies are my favorites.
I may give HJW's romantic movies a go but that's after I am fully done with his Thriller/action movies because that's where he shines the best for me. After I am done with those and I have nothing left to watch, I will be obliged to see the romantic one :D
To clear something out; 7/10 isn't a low rating from me (you can check my list). That being said, I think this movie is good; revenge, action and acting were top-notch but I was expecting that certain twist ever since the first meeting.
I was preparing myself for something disturbing but it wasn't actually a disturbing watch for me. Sadly, I got something that goes against my morals. My ethics don't allow me to rate this any higher. The rating is for the magnificent acting, the amazing revenge plot and some great violent scenes.
It started in a great way but then it went downhill. The SDU guys are the best thing that ever happened to this drama.
I've learnt my lesson, I will never watch a current time HKC drama again. I will just stick with the historical/Wuxia oriented ones.
The Twilight Samurai and The Hidden Blade were slightly better than this but all of them were enjoyable and quite different from other samurai movies; they touch the human side of that theme.
I still love action packed Samurai stories but Yoiji's trilogy was also quite good.
It was funny and captivating; I always loved Yakuza themed dramas/movies and the Japanese sense of humor. It was hilarious but Yusha Yoshihiko is the funniest drama I ever saw, hands down.
The final chapter of the "Ip Man" saga is actually good. It doesn't deal with the martial arts and fighting like the previous movies but it actually deals with Ip Man's final twilight years. I appreciated it and Anthony Wong was great as usual.
For starters, I am a big sucker of vampire stories and the male lead Song Kang Ho is one my favorite ahjussi's in cinema.
This movie was cool; more of a human vampire story than a gory one, the mature scenes bothered me somehow and the developments were a little slow but I liked the general feel as well as the ending and the cinematography.
I also got the chance to see Kim Ok Bin again; I really like that actress, she's talented.
I enjoyed this drama very much, I liked the way they don't focus on finding the murderer but the main concern was to find the way the crime was committed. Although they used physics as a way to reach their goals, I found the drama quite smooth and easy to follow with lots of intriguing cases.
Mind blown! In a good way!
It was beautifully shot, full of amazing cinematography and top-notch acting as well as intriguing storytelling.
I wasn't even expecting something great out of this and I just love it when a movie surprises me!
Brutally violent, gory, dark yakuza story and Miike. Yup that would be my top thing if they didn't include those disturbing sexual scenes, they were disgusting. I wonder when on earth they will stop producing gory movies without mature scenes, it's like they're making them inseparable or something except some of course.
The ending scene was totally crazy that it left me loling, not crazy in a funny way though.
