Snooze fest
This came highly recommended to me so I was really disappointed when it was a snooze fest. Something about it was just soo slow paced with a lot of filler side stories that didn't seem necessary. The leads also had zero chemistry in my opinion. You could call this a slow burn but when it finally got to the "burn" there wasn't even a burn. Also, sooo many flashbacks that weren't necessary. They probably could have cut 50% of this drama.

Only worth it for He Yu
I came for He Yu, I stayed for He Yu, and by the end of it…what in the world did I just watch? The only good episodes were the last 9 when she actually marries. Esther Yu tends to play these babyish immature roles at first in her dramas. Then later matures like in LBFAD. But oh my it is tortuous until she gets there. I will say though she is good as being an evolving character. Where others typically play one kind of personality Esther Yu evolves.
That being said, again, the only good part of this drama is He Yu…but like what does he see in her?
The only thing I came away from this feeling is I can’t wait for He Yu’s future dramas because I will watch them all.

LBL takes 1st place in a modern romance and sets the standard
Nothing comes close to my love for Love Between Lines. Everything here after will be measured against the standard which LBL has set which is being the most perfect modern romance. This has so much rewatch value it’s not even funny.Chen Xing Xu is perfection and a master of his craft. His facial expressions draw you in where you feel allll the emotions with him. If I could pause and just have a still frame of every one of his cute facial expressions then I would be happy.
Lu Yu Xiao is as cute as a button and is an amazing actress as well. They really knew how to pair these two together.
LBL you have spoken to the depths of my heart and I will miss watching you for the first time. But thank you for your contribution of creating the most amazing romance that we get to watch over and over again.

I don’t see the hype around it
There were many plot holes in this.-How could Eun-geol not recognize “grandpa” in his younger years. Pretty sure grandpa would have told him his name at least while he was giving him guitar lessons so did Eun-geol not ask his name in the past and put two and two together?
-Why don’t we get to know ANY about On- eun you’s life once she returns. And how is her mom not going to remember seeing her look alike who knew so much about her from the past?
-HOW DID NOBODY REMEMBER EUN-GEOL FROM THE PAST HIS FACE OR EXACT NAME…
-Eun-ho clearly liked On-eun yoo from when they were in the hospital together sooo…is he just not mad that his brother is with her RANDOMLY. Was he not also wondering why SUDDENLY Eun-geol likes her when he’d never met her in the previous 18 years?
-Where is On-Eun yoo’s mom once she “returns” from the u.s. Did the school seriously just not call her mom or dad EVER to let them know she was at the school instead of the u.s.?
-WHY WAS YOON-CHEONG-AH’S MOM TAKEN AWAY AND NEVER CAME BACK FOR HER?!?!
-Maybe I missed it but who was the scary lady at their house now who locked her up? Her new stepmom? Again whereeee was her biological mom?!
-You’re telling me Cheong-Ah ‘s dad actually loved his daughter but didn’t see she was a shell of herself who didn’t talk to anybody? Saw no bruises from abuse? Had a hidden room in his house he didn’t know about?
I could go on and on and on.
Episodes 1-13 were so awful that i couldn’t justify it being a good show just because it had a good emotional heart wrenching last 2 episodes.

What in the psycho did I just watch?
The only redeeming thing about this show is Poom Phuripan Sapsangsawa. He is dreamy to look at and a great actor. All of the other acting sucked to me. Especially Ming and Sol.The biggest thing for me was he knocks him out with a bat, chains him up, uses him, possessive, loves another man...and we're supposed to believe this love story of Joe loving him?! And we're supposed to feel sorry for Ming...that he truly loves him or something?
I'm sorry but this romance did not romance for me.

The only redeeming thing was Liu Yu Ning
I wanted to rate this higher..I really did. And if I had to give a final review after about 15 episodes it might have even been a 10. But everything went downhill fast after that.In the beginning it was funny and I liked the acting. However after some time I came to realize...I really REALLY can't stand the FL. At first it was just because she was annoying with her weird baby talk and mannerisms. Then it turned into how HORRIBLY she treated him. Like utterly awful disgusting behavior and things she said to him. What on earth did he see in her?!? He was clearly head over heels for her for some reason.
I'm sorry but if I had a fiery hot man who was clearly in love with me, crying begging for forgiveness at every turn, desperately trying to be with me..AND it was just a novel so what have you got to lose?!?! I WOULD DEFINITELY just be with him.

Sneaks up on you in the best way possible
So at first this is your typical transmigration trope into a story. It starts off super cheesy and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. But as the story progressed, especially past the halfway mark it slowly snuck up on me how much I loved it. Both fl and ml acting is really great (you can never go wrong with Chen Xingxu. Also, they are good friends in real life so I think this really helped their chemistry here.By the end I was feeling allll the emotions. When it can stir up laughter, joy, sadness and crying in you I think it's a great drama. It's also a testament to their acting skills.
While this is nothing new in this trope, the leads themselves along with their acting is what makes this superb.

Could have lived without all of the misunderstandings
Ok so I liked it, I really did. HOWEVER, if you do not like lying, misunderstandings, poor communication, and deceiving…then this is not for you. Also, JUST SILENCE THE PHONES
Side note: If this is your first Dylan Wang drama then his acting is terrible here. Watch him in Love Between Fairy And Devil and you will see his true skill.

Super cute fluffy romance!
I have never laughed so hard at a drama before. If you are looking for a super cute light and fluffy romance that will have you laughing out of your seat then this is it. If you're looking for something with a lot of depth of the characters or storyline this is not it. This is a feel good lift you up laugh out loud romance.I just have to add this in here though. The only thing the ml had going for him was his lips and cute smile. He still lived with his parents, his mom did his laundry, and you never actually see him do any work at the office but he wants to be ceo. Weird haha.

Melt your heart enemies to lovers romance
I am in love with this historical romance drama. I love a good slow burn done right. And I’ve realized enemies to lovers might be my favorite romance trope.I thought the ml’s acting skills were superb. He was dense, clueless and innocent when needed, warlord when needed, and sensitive romantic partner. He portrayed all of these roles well. Plus he’s super nice to look at.
The only reason I didn’t give it the full 10 is because in the first half there were a lot of slow parts that I thought could have used some more action. And while the action came towards the end I felt a bit bored with the villains. It was the same song and dance with them and I thought it was drawn out.
All In all though this is DEFINITELY worth watching in my opinion.

I guess I’m in the minority
I guess I’m in the minority because I didn’t think this deserved a high rating at all. It was sooo slow and boring. I hated the side story. The ML’s emotional depth and facial expressions like that of a brown paper bag. The only redeeming thing about this show was the adorable little girl and her storyline. Was this review helpful to you?
Just cute
Okay so the ML is one of the reasons why I kept watching this show. I could watch him in a brown paper bag for 16 episodes and be just as happy. All that to say, this was a cute love story with a unique storyline. As others have said though, I do feel like they tried to put too many different things in one show. Murder mystery, romance, family drama, love triangle, gangsters, family curse. It def could have been simplified. But overall it was a cute story. Was this review helpful to you?
“ I wasn’t going to eat you but I guess I have no choice”
This was such a cute romance. The leads had great chemistry and Ha Seok-jin is dreamy to look at.I normally have to skip a lot of boring scenes in shows but I didn’t skip any in here. There were no boring side romances and the politics were simple and not hard to follow like some in some shows I’ve seen. Every episode was right to the point with no unnecessary fillers.

Must watch!
Wow wow wow…Do you ever watch those rare shows that leave you with speechless emotions and words at the end? This is it…I don’t give out 10/10 lightly and this one was an easy one to do so. Everything about this was amazing. The story, the acting ( I love me some Bai Jingting), the ost…
Can I erase my memory of this show just so I can watch it for the first time again and relive over and over the feeling you get at the end?
Run to watch this NOW.

What did I just watch?!?
This was the weirdest “love story” trying to hide behind great OST and cinematography. Would a man ACTUALLY fall for a woman like that in the real world? I mean I guess some would if she’s beautiful and they’re into the whole dominatrix, belittling, controlling, psycho type.I kept waiting for her to be…normal…
Alas…she was psycho through and through.
