The wrongs he was wronged
So like....I liked it BUT...THE WRONGS HE WAS WRONGED was really hard to get over. She made me so mad with how she treated him. Also 59 episodes was ALOT. Towards the end was a lot of unnecessary dragged out political stuff that I felt could have been shortened.Also I will be hearing SIFENG!! SIFENG!! SIFENG!! In my nightmares for awhile.

Nothing memorable for me
I might be in the minority but I honestly wasn't that impressed. The only redeeming quality for me was Nam Joo-hyuk was SO cute and adorable. This was my first drama of his I watched and he made me want to go try his others that he's in. Sure, he's not your typical "super hot swoon worthy" type but his mannerisms and smile and character make me love him so much. PLUS he does have a really nice body to look at.TW:
There were a lot of things in this that made me uncomfortable. The physical abuse and literally SEEING it happen was a bit much for me.
Also the whole weight loss thing was not handled well imo. She CLEARLY is in shape and even the Dr notes her muscle mass and healthy bmi, so why is he still pushing weight loss? This, to me, portrayed a poor image of body positivity and was pushing weight loss for an already healthy person.
Side note- I know a big portion of this was supposed to be "slice of life" for most of the characters but I honestly found a lot of the side arc boring and skipped a lot.

Pleasantly Surprised
Ok so I PROMISE if you can get past the weird 1st episode it’s totally worth it. I seriously contemplated stopping after the 1st episode. But I’m SO glad I didn’t! I was pleasantly surprised with this show. I usually skip around on boring parts in a show but this one I didn’t really. Every part of the episode was important to know for the whole story. At the end it brings all the puzzle pieces together into a nice happy ending.Was this review helpful to you?

Good first half
I’m only giving this a high rating for all the episodes before he went to prison. It was a great slow burn romance and I love how they did it with “the bad boy” and “the good girl”. But holy moly after he got out of prison he was the most verbally and emotionally abusive person. But then you would see her smiling with him in the next scene? And he never apologized for his behavior? I would have loved to see something like - After prison he was trying to push her away because he felt like she was too good for him and he didn’t deserve her- but he never explained why he was so awful and atrocious to her. And then she just loves him no matter what? I don’t like love stories where the mall treats her like crap and she still loves him anyway…But anyway the first part before he goes to prison is the only part worth watching.

Just meh
This story was just meh. Kind of slow. No humor. No kinship really. It was supposed to be more of an “slice of life” show but storylines weren’t even that interesting as well. Also what was that ending?!? Some of my favorite actors are Ji-Chang wook and Shin-Hye Sun so I had to give it a chance. Hey-sun was better in Mr. Queen and Chang wook in Healer.Was this review helpful to you?
Amazing 1st half
I’m giving this a high rating for the first 2/3rds of the show and episode 26 (some of the funniest scenes I’ve seen in tv history).Towards middle end I was sooo bored I skipped through most of it. The focus kind of shifted away from their relationship journey into the more political side of the story and it was Zzzz.
But I love Zhao Lusi and will continue to watch anything she is in.

The only good thing is looking at Rowoon
This was my first Rowoon drama and he is definitely nice to look at. I didn’t care for the FL though. Something about her just didn’t seem to fit and I didn’t think they had any chemistry.The storyline was also a bit all over the place. Things that happened in the beginning first episode weren’t even talked about the majority of the drama. And the history part was thrown in at weird times. And then a stalker randomly?
It’s like they tried to do too many things in one drama. They put romance (some parts were a romcom only in the beginning, mystery, thriller, supernatural…) It really needed to be condensed down to a more focused genre and went more in depth into that.
Also, I couldn’t get past the cheating…
All in all I hope Rowoon’s other dramas are better.

Started off strong but then….
I absolutely LOVED the first 1/3. I would give it a 10/10. But then it became less about the romance and more about politics and war. It was a very conflicting series because if you came for romance you only got it for so long. But if you came for political drama and war then you don’t get that until a ways in. My heart is full
This is a pure, wholesome, melt your heart kind of love. It's rare for me to give a 10/10. But the feels I had with this one are exactly what I'm always searching for. This is one that I wish I could re-watch for the 1st time over and over again. Their romance will live rent free in my heart.I love that there is no messy break up or awful miscommunications. This is a pure fluffy first love romance.

My heart is full
I can't even describe into words how this series made my heart feel. It was funny, serious, silly, and heartfelt romantic all at the same time.At first, I didn't know if I would like it because it seemed so cheesy. But about the midpoint I fell in love and couldnt stop watching. By the end of it, it is one of my top rated most beloved series now.

The most adorable couple
I rarely give 10/10 but SmartBoom deserves this. Hands down Boom is the cutest human being ever. Where have you been hiding Boom?!You NEED to watch this series for their love, loyalty, and chemistry. The plot isn't anything special-two actors fall in love. But boy are they IN LOVE. Through thick and thin the most adorable couple ever. They are able to make your heart incredibly happy. But also, I've never seen anything quite like Boom's crying skill. This man will have YOU crying because the depth of emotion to his acting is top notch.
SmartBoom you and MilesApo are my two most beloved couples.

They win the world's cutest couple award
Kinn & Porsche literally are the world's sweetest and hottest couple. I cannot even describe the chemistry between these two. I feel like chemistry isn't even the right word to describe what you see and feel when you watch them. It is a love so deep that we all strive to have.I really REALLY hope we will see these two paired again in lots of dramas. They are truly AMAZING actors who make you feel all the feels in your heart when watching them.
The story was REALLY ridiculous at some points which is why I couldn't give it a full 10. However, I will watch any outrageous plot as long as it has these two in it.

Deng Wei at his finest
Two words. Deng Wei. I vow to watch anything where he is the main character now. His face and acting is perfection. Both him and Julia Xiang both were able to act out separate character personalities flawlessly. By episode 6 I was already crying.I will say, as most Xianxias go, the middle was really draggy filler material. I skipped a lot. However the cast, acting, storyline, and OST are still what makes me give this a high rating.

A romcom at its finest
I LOVED this show. Lee Hye -ri is an AMAZING actress. For her to stay in character and not break it to laugh at herself is a true feat. Some of the stuff and expressions she did had me rolling. She is a very versatile actress too. Can be hilarious when she needs to be but serious too.And let’s talk about Jang Ki-yong. He is dreamy with a smile that melts you to your core. Really, if he was in a show and all he did was smile I would still watch it.
This romcom was done right.

A mature romance
If this was just about the love story I would have given it a 10 because the ML is sooo cute in his mannerisms once he falls for her. The chemistry is amazing between these two. I love that they had a mature relationship based on communicating and there weren’t toxic fights or anything. However, the majority was about business and their jobs and I skipped through alll of it because it was so boring to me.Was this review helpful to you?
