I have been really intetested in lips the last couple of years, because from what I have noticed, the gradiant lip application seems to be exclusively a Korean fashion trend. I have not noticed it in Western fashion, nor in other Asian fashion. I think it looks really neat and have been wanting to try it. (*^_^*)
I guess I have to speak for everyone who found your review unhelpful. Even though I didn't, can't bring…
I do not dislike you at all chingu. :) Thank you for your honest critique. I will address some of the things you mentioned, though.
Overall, I was trying really hard not to make my review too long, so that is the reason some things were left out. I especially was concerned with only choosing those cast members to mention, but those are the main ones that stood out to me so I felt they took priority in my review.
I left out commenting about the details of the plot on purpose. For one, I did not want to spoil anyone by accident. That and the plot details are already there on the drama's page. I usually do not rehash a synopsis in a review because it takes up too much space and is already readily available. If a drama page lacks a synopsis, I would feel ok doing it then, however.
I am not sure, though, what you mean by my review of the story is lacking. Is it because I did comment on the writing? Again, that is because of it already being rather long. I thought it was enough at the time to emphasize my enjoyment of the drama and the actor's performances, but I see now what you mean, if that is indeed what you mean. :p
As for my opinion vs.observation, I have to disagree with you there, chingu. A review is not a recap. It is not for people to just summarize what happened. It is for people to express their overall opinions about what they watched, good, bad and neutral. So, I have to say that I feel you might be wrong in what you think a review actually is, with that particular comment.
With the above in mind, what parts did you feel were unimportant sentences, out of curiosity? I don't think any of them could be viewed as unimportant or unneccessary from a technical viewpoint. I felt I used proper description and gave sufficient reasoning for the opinions I expressed. I am, however, a very descriptive writer. I tend to use a lot of adjectives and get rather wordy, so maybe that is what you are talking about?
Anyway, I thank you again for your thoughts! I will keep them in mind when next I write a review. (*^_^*)
You hit the nail on the head about the second half! I share the exact same opinions that you stated. That is also the reason I ended up rating it an 8.5 instead of a 10.
This was the funniest article I have read in a long time chingu! Awesomely written! You capture the exact torment that I have felt when trying to watch longer dramas. I have made it to 42 ep long drama I think, but those were both 45 min an ep, being as one was Taiwanese and one was Chinese. I also have Empress Ki On Hold and it has been there for months. Atm, I am watching Our Gab Soon, which is 50 eps. However, I am watching while it airs so I have higher hopes for myself. :p
