There are few actors i really dispise in KDRAMA. This guy one of them along with ha ji won. Both are posers in…
Actually, it is very well known that he does all of his own stunts. In fact, that is how he was injured while filming Scholar Who Walks the Night at the beginning.
Hmmm. I think this is a very interesting and important topic. However, I don't necessarily think that some of the examples you use are meant to be abuse. The wrist grab thing in particular. I don't see it as an example of male power or dominance in any drama I have watched. It is usually seen as a response to frustration at a particular situation in public (argument starts, people are staring, she is acting like a brat so he pulls her away) or in order to 'save' the female from harm, like in the You're Beautiful gif posted above. It is the perfect show of arrogance and protectfulness at the same time, which is a major turn on to many women, not just Asian women, which is probably why it appears so often in dramas. So with regard to that, I do think you might be over thinking the meaning of it.
Your review made me wanting rewatch it.....bc when i watched behavior logic of characters felt right and justified.…
It's probably because I am apt to notice everything so each flaw of a drama will stand out to me. I just felt they kept adding up as I kept watching. The acting was amazing! There were absolutely no flaws there. I'd say my beef was with the writing. Like Prosecutor dude was so very highly suspicious from the get go. Yet no one was suspicious of him, his weird personality or his motives. Last ep, commisioner is sitting there dying and instead of saying who stabbed him, he's all giving another moral lesson even though he should know that now his best friend will be next likely target. Just stuff like that, throughout.
As for rewatching, I very rarely rewatch or plan to rewatch a drama anyway. Plus, besides the points I mentioned, though I do generally enjoy action dramas, Bad Guys was a little too gritty and violent themed for my general tastes. It was ok once, but not something I would watch again.
While I agree with everything you stated, it is generally not welcomed to write reviews for dramas not yet finished airing. :) You can always write episode reviews though.
While I agree with one or two of the winners, my overwhelming thought while seeing the results were that it is very possible many votes were based on the most popular *drama* and not the actual *song*.
Um. The driving scenes were supposed to look that way because it was a dream and not real. ;) When I first saw that scene my first reaction wss that it was badly done and looked unrealistic. It then made perfect sense why it was like that once the plot twist was revealed.
I agree wholeheartedly with most everything else.
