Honestly, zero chemistry. Kai has had much better chemistry with other actresses. Throughout the drama I never felt there was any passion on Wu Zhens part. Kai could generate chemistry with a broom. TXW needs some work imo.

Exactly. The views on his dramas mean more than how many followers he has on social media. Followers is only a measure of how many people on SM are engaged online. I’m sure many people follow multiple actors so it’s not even an accurate reflection.

What kind of follower growth are you looking for? Many actors have less followers on Weibo. Other popular actors are also not having exponential growth on Weibo. There’s a saturation point where they’re probably not going to have explosive growth after a certain point. Does followers on Weibo equate to tangible benefits?
The types of dramas that are popular in China are often not the dramas that are popular overseas ex . FIYS. I don’t think Moonlit Reunion would have been an explosive drama in China if what happened with Kai hadn’t happened. The storyline had many issues which made it not as good as it could have been. Compared to other Tencent dramas this year that got high popularity , the storyline was nowhere near as good as PoB or The Glory imo. I think Kai did a fine job on his acting in the drama but not a strong story due to editing choices. They really wasted him in that drama. 😕

eps at a time so I would take long breaks in between watching and then earlier this year I finally just forced myself to finish it. I enjoyed any scene with Kai unfortunately there were too few of those. no issue with the cast themselves or the acting, just characters were just SO awful 😤

I hated almost every character in Court Lady 😅 so many terrible people. Kai’s character, the FL and Kai’s fam are about the only good people in it. Everyone else is so hateful, it made me so angry when watching haha if I ever need to raise my blood pressure I know what to watch

Misunderstood ice cube. Actually very warm hearted, just didn’t know how to show it to others. Bai Jue was hurt a lot and Shanggu could understand him. He went though so much to bring her back 😭😭😭 I’m okay 🥺(I will never be okay lol)

For the past year I’ve just been rewatching his dramas like daily (it’s been a very slow year for good dramas this year lol) but I like honestly miss ALP when I’m not watching it? I’ll finish it and immediately want to watch it again. It’s a problem. 😅

The lack of Kai in CL made it so painful to watch. It took me 3 years to get through it (I’m not even exaggerating). The first like 8 eps were fun and had a decent amount of scenes with him and then it becomes a completely different drama 😮‍💨 I love ALP the most out of all c dramas but many people say it’s “boring”. IMO it’s Kai’s best role to date

I don’t know that people can be patient anymore lol like the rise of tiktok and short form dramas no one wants to endure 30-40 ep of 45 mins to actually enjoy a story.

I work like 9-5 and have no commitments so I have nothing but time. A lot of the time when multiple dramas come out I will check out the first few eps and drop if nothing keeps my interest. This year for me has been quite slow for dramas I have found to enjoy. This is the first new drama I’m watching since Yummy, yummy, yummy. 🤷‍♀️
