This has been the most unengaging watch for me so far this year. I feel bad for saying this cuz I can see this show had good intentions and the finale was pretty cute, but virtually nothing happened. The actors, who are supposed to portray grown men with jobs that have experience with relationships, instead behave like 14-year-old middle schoolers experiencing things for the first time. This is the type of BL that kills my engagement for this genre.

Labeling entire groups of people—whether Westerners, woke people, or social justice warriors—in such a negative and reductive way is neither fair nor constructive. History and culture are complex, and attributing broad, harmful behaviors to entire populations is misleading.
I agree with some of your points to an extent. I also dislike how certain extreme forms of wokeness, particularly from the U.S., have influenced the rest of the world. And I live in the "west" as well.

"The West" encompasses a vast and diverse group of people who often live in completely different circumstances and have little to do with each other. Many "western people" haven't even been close to doing what you are implying. "Westerners" are a way to broad term to use in this type of conversation
