I agree 100%. I remember watching Gossip Girl and by season 5 or 6 the main character's best friend was dating his dad...still watching Walking Dead (because I still watch some US shows with my husband) and it is just laughable at this point. Thankfully it is finishing up finally. I am hating how Korean dramas are having multiple season. I refuse to watch any of the Kdramas dropped on Netflix that are left with open ending specifically for a "possible" season 2. No thanks. I'll be moving to Cdramas and other countries if Korea follows the US trend that a lot of Foreign fans came to Kdramas to escape.

If you are open to Chinese dramas I highly recommend Well Intended Love to this category, wait for the WTF moment in I believe episode 12. which I feel gives the LOO 10+!!! And I also feel Ashes of Love to the list, not the ML though.

By the end I actually loved Yesha so I was torn with who I wanted him with.

It's so comfortably tropey that I am just eating it up and am dying a little each day without new episodes. I am also finding Kim Se Jeong so pretty and cute and fun!! This is my 1st drama of hers.

I hope her career recovers at some point! <3 I will always be her fan! I have said some terrible things in a fit of rage that I didn't not really mean and regretted later, not holding her to a higher standard then I hold myself. Society itself needs to be more accepting of single mothers as I am sure that played a part in her stress that caused her statement.

Yes! Two dramas representing Meteor Garden F4 cast members! I went into Autumn Concerto with no expectations only watching for Vaness Wu goodness and I really enjoyed it! Mars! It was nice to get to see Barbie and Vic together in a drama again they had great chemistry in MG. Also still to this day the opening song to Mars is on my playlist. Originally I only watched dramas that were based of manga which is what led me to my drama obsession and I don't even really read manga anymore! My 1st dramas were all Taiwanese adaptations of Hana Yori Dango (Meteor Garden), Mars, Peach Girl, and Hana Kimi (this is one I LOVE and have rewatched too!) This is back in the day before streaming so I had to download the dramas from torrents which could take days or buy pirated copies off ebay. For me most of the old dramas I watched I still love. I find the things that I think newer watchers would get annoyed by but I still am super attached. I have rewatched both seasons of the Taiwanese Meteor Garden and still love them. The only older drama I tried to rewatch and didn't really care for is BOF. I enjoy the first 12 episodes and then the show tanks.

I think bringing terrible parts of history into the media as entertainment is helpful in educating more people about our terrible history so it doesn't get repeated. I learned so much about the holocaust through "entertainment". Also who has heard about the "Desaparecidos" or "the disappeared." It is a terrible historical situation that took place in Argentina when the military kidnapped people and tortured and killed them or sometimes just took their children. It was during a coup. Better explanation in article attached. I learned about this horrible piece of history through the Argentina drama adaption of the Count of Monte Cristo. I am sure there are some survivors of these terrible events that what nothing to do with the media version of the events and there are others that want more people to hear what happened.
