It's a book about the Republican era in China, specifically the Battle of Shanghai. Why would Korea adapt it?
So it would be too shallow as i said. I read the novel and it's deeply rooted. They would make the same mistakes as moon lovers...

I’m very tempted to watch this. I’ve seen the Korean version, should I expect a lot of angst in this version?
let me tell you. Korea version is not angst at all compared to Chinese original one. Everything is on another level. Depth, acting, angst, love.
With the Korean remake i laughed so hard until the end, i had no emotion at all from them. Chinese original one makes me cry a river

at the moment, not confirmed. But interns say it's a leaked document, so we have to wait. We can say it's false…
UK is doing the promo for Dongji Island movie, and it was China to chose it because Lisbon Maru event is linked to UK too.
So basically, if it's a cdrama or cmovie, yes, exactly what you said.

Untamed and WOH are BL 100% and not bromance, but whatever. According to new official regulations, even products to be aired on international platforms are bound to Chinese gov regulations, and this is official from the official statement. So it's not true they cannot intervene. They can choose they way they air and what.
Kill to love is Gaga and rushed their schedule, if China can't intervene why rushing the schedule after 1 day?
I am talking about up-to-date new regulations like the permission of40+ episodes series after we fans protested.
In any case we have to wait at least october to see if it's a leaked document to be activated or a fake news. I trust people in China and intern in showbiz more than anyone.

no, they can, they already did with other series. This one has a strong backup from the novel author herself, but with new Chinese laws even on foreign platforms they can, at least about the content.
China is not homophobic, but they don't like to promo sexuality or whatever, and you should remember p*rn is illegal.
Youku and WeTv took it because in China it's not successful.
And lots of bloggers from China say that officially this is NOT an official document but leaked and interns say it's true but they still have to make it official. I trust intern in Chinese showbiz more than fans.
Where there is smoke there is fire, but i won't be surprised if the whole thing is true. Fans are over the hedge and make it promo about something private, stalking actors, shipping them and assuming their sexuality.
I'm an avid Chinese only watcher because i don't like some kind of contents like other nations, and i'm not limited to BL ( i have never consider Untamed bromance because i can see they love each other in the drama). China relies on het and release dramas without any problem, they are right to cut what makes it troublesome.
I hope the situation will be safe but there are too many signs in China that this thing could be real in a near future.

so what is going on with the censorship that china is implementing in september? something about not allowing…
at the moment, not confirmed. But interns say it's a leaked document, so we have to wait. We can say it's false at the moment since it's not confirmed nor stated in the official document. Intern says it's true but still to be stated in documents.
Kill to love rushed its schedule, and where there is smoke there is fire, so let's wait.

Person Zheng Shuang
Happy birthday my fav actress. Chu Yuxun and Fang Yifei will always be special to us fans, and then Wei Wei.
Zheng Shuang will probably come back, as she hinted on douyin, but not high profile for sure. We stand with her

I don’t understand why some C-fans keep bashing both CC and WSW by belittling their acting skills and criticizing…
And let me add that the problem is the attitude, even about BLs like Untamed ( they are not bromance since you can feel their love).
The problem is the promotion, not the production or airing. no one should mind others' business in private lives ( unless they are against the law or destroy public security).
BL community in China is strong at a limit and they don't oppose it, but it's not like a label. no one is interested in knowing it.

they have the right to do it, we are at 18 ep over 24. Tian Xuning, Ziyu and others' career are not in danger at the moment. I condamn the harassment over actors, but i support their complaints since the drama is mostly for Chinese audiences no matter what. Fans supporting them watch it in Chinese, they are Chinese actors and the series was filmed in China entirely, so they have the right to complain but NOT harassing the actors. Intl fans doesn't count, not only for BL, let me say it as a Cdrama only watcher.

they can re edit in some cases, but it's fair to cancel them because of an actor. No one should go without punishment

I guess being famous doesn't mean one can get away with punishment from "wrongdoings" in China unlike some other…
actors are human too, and punishment are right to every human no matter who they are, in a civilised nation.

there is a rumor about it, but i think it's fake exactly for the reason you mentioned. Even if they adapt in 1900s Korea it would be shallow
