I watched up to episode 8 I feel like Yang Yang is basically replaying his love 020 character just a more adult…
I dont know if you ever read Love O2O & YAMG, but Yu Tu and Xiao Nai are quite "similar". The same perfect, cold person who repels females like they are mosquitos with the exception of the female lead. Its written by the same person as Love O2O so understandably there is quite a familiar vibe due to how both male leads have the same characteristics. Yu Tu is a tad bit different due to his family background which wasn't a perfect rich family like Xiao Nai. Yu Tu was grown up in an average family and is doing a job that doesn't pay out as much. This makes him consider different aspects of his life, if his dreams are worth striving for while his parents get older and older. Hence like you said, Yu Tu feels a bit more like the adult version of Xiao Nai who lived in a perfect bubble where everything he wanted was within reach.
Its the same author, the same type of male lead, Yang Yang is playing the same smart handsome guy so it was bound to happen that people feel like he is replaying his role. But its just how the characters were written, there isnt much difference to it other than that Yu Tu wasnt "perfect" due to his environment making him feel a tad bit more relatable and mature.
I have read the book and I do have to say, Dilireba is really the best fit for Qiao Jing Jing. Dilireba persona seems so incredibly inline with Qiao Jing Jing's personality in the book. QJJ is a bit silly, but very witty, down to earth and smiles a lot. QJJ never gives up and is an easy to please woman despite being a huge celebrity, she never looks down on others and appreciate everyone in her surroundings. She is not a dumb dumb persona, more a bit cute silly just like Reba.
Im kinda iffy about Yang Yang however, he already starred in Love O2O which was written by the same author and Xiao Nai and Yu Tu are quite similar in character. However Xiao Nai was the very succesful smart guy who lives a clean life, Yu Tu is the more "unruled" version. Yu Tu is like Xiao Nai very smart, doesnt talk a lot and seems to live in their own smart world. But Yu Tu isnt as succesfull, Yu Tu has gone through ups and downs and doesnt know if what he is doing right now is a good choice. He smokes sometimes to relieve his stress, and overall just seems like a Xiao Nai but more mature and doesnt share the same "perfect" fate. I do have to say that I wouldnt be able to point out another actor who would fit Yu Tu as much as Yang Yang as he is pretty much considering his past rolls, the best fit. Yu Tu is more a mix of Ye Xiu and Xiao Nai, but I hope Yang Yang would be able to make Yu Tu really Yu Tu. And not similar to one of the roles he played before. Knowing Yang Yang, it should be more than fineXD
I enjoyed the drama a lot. For someone who also studies cse, I liked the few programming parts and how "real" they looked. I liked their proposals of Noongil and Tarzan and overall I just liked the drama. Im a romance sucker, but I preferred the "good" rivality and seing their growth in their companies more. It wasn't dramatic nor sappy, I liked their views towards the world and their serious talks more than the small romantic moments. I enjoyed every character and I enjoyed seeing them from being silly dares to confident dares.
Han Ji Pyeong made a mistake from the start, loved him but it was ultimate he could never be the one because of that one decision. Sad but the reality. Nam Do San grew up well in the meantime, its a fact that Dal Mi didn't need a reason to like him in the end because the sole reason is: she simply liked him. And who did not to be fair?
Lol Since this one has 35 episodes I don't think it will be and the characters are more fleshed out here along…
I watched it until ep 18, it seems to be very differenrtfrom the Thai adaption. She is more sensible, less forceful and the drama seems to be way less dramatic. Overall I really like it atm, even more than the Thai version.
I have to say that the male lead is very handsome, then second male lead popped up and I went holy macaroni he is even more gorgeousXD

Just search up Piang Chai Kon Nee Mai Chai Poo Wiset.
The Thai actress and actor are quite well known^^ It is quite different from the Chinese adaption tho.
